Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Goulots" Vieille Vigne (94RP, (91-93ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Goulots is rich, ripe, sensual and totally inviting. The fruit is round and very beautiful, but the wine is so young I can only imagine what might develop in the coming years. The fruit positively explodes on the finish, where floral, spiced overtones add the final layers of complexity. This is a stunning bottle in every way. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Niellon Chassagne-Montrachet (90ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale, bright yellow. Musky white peach and pear aromas complicated by nuances of tangerine, menthol, stone and flowers. Juicy, pure and intense, showing lovely vibrancy and inner-mouth tension. This classic Chassagne finishes gripping and long, with flavors of white peach and white flowers. An excellent village wine, and much more bracing than a sample I tasted from barrel a year ago. 2005 Sine Qua Non "Atlantis Fe203-2c" California Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Sine Qua Non "Atlantis Fe203-2c" California Grenache (100VN, 97RP, 95ST, 90WS). Vinous: "The 2005 Grenache Atlantis Fe203-2a has been absolutely thrilling both times I have tasted it within the last year. A huge, vertical wine, Atlantis graces the palate with deep, voluptuous red fruit, crushed rocks, smoke, tobacco and mint. Even with all of its intensity and explosiveness, the wine remains light on its feet, with great balance and class to burn. The inclusion of whole clusters adds gorgeous lift and perfume, especially on the finish. At nearly ten years of age, the 2005 Grenache Atlantis is in a perfect spot right now and should continue to drink well for another 5-10 years, perhaps longer. (AG)" (07/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pepper, earth, blueberry, and black currant aromas jump from the glass of the 2005 Syrah Cardiac Hill. This full-bodied, powerful, tannic wine needs plenty of bottle age as it is one of the more unevolved examples in this portfolio. Readers should not hesitate to get on Carlisle’s mailing list before the world discovers what compelling beverages are being produced here." (12/2006)

Full-bodied, opulent, flashy and irresistible, this endearing, plush, exuberant, opulent Cabernet Sauvignon is 3-5 years away from full maturity, yet it is already complex and rewarding. Of the 2012 Turley "Ueberroth" Paso Robles Zinfandel,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "from a vineyard planted on alkaline soil in 1885): Good deep red. Knockout aromas and flavors of black and red fruits, garrigue, minerals and high-pitched spices, along with an impression of medicinal reserve. Wonderfully layered and intense, showing outstanding cut and peppery lift to the middle palate. Offers an uncanny combination of acid lift and breadth, finishing with resounding juicy length. In the mouth, it's unctuous, and floods the palate with sweet, savory flavors. Has a youthful jamminess right now, which will melt off and refine as time goes by. Such is the elegance and balance that cellaring it for 20 years will be no problem. This is the best Rubicon ever. " (09/2006)

2007 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (97WE, 91ST). Wine Enthusiast: " *Best of 2010, Cellar Selection* This very dense, tannic Pinot Noir represents a triumph for both the winery, the vintage and the region it represents. A multi-clone blend (hence the name) with high, cool-climate acidity and aged in 100% new oak, it’s still young, fresh and tight. The astringency throws a cloak over the raspberries, cherries, rosehip tea and Indian spice flavors, which reveal themselves only reluctantly. But they’re there, in an imposing texture of velvet and silk. This enormous wine demands time. " (03/2010)

2004 Bond "Pluribus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Bond "Pluribus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96WS, 95ST, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Perhaps the wine that jumped the most in score from when I first tasted these wines out of bottle in 2008, is the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Pluribus. Rated 94 back in 2008, it’s now a solid 98 and knocking on the door of perfection. This wine comes from a Spring Mountain vineyard northwest of the charming town of St. Helena. It has gorgeous notes of graphite, acacia flowers, blueberry liqueur, scorched earth and hot stones. Reminiscent of a top Graves, it is another full-bodied, rich, concentrated wine with good acidity as well as fabulous purity and concentration. I had not seen the Graves-like character in this wine prior to bottling and post-bottling, but it is there now. This stunner is open for business and its fragrance and suppleness suggest drinking it over the next two decades. (RP)" (04/2014)

Of the 2001 Mount Veeder Winery "Reserve" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Wine Enthusiast writes: "*Cellar Selection* This fabulous mountain Cabernet blend is hefty in tannins, but it’s so delicious and balanced, it’s totally drinkable now. Connoisseurs Guide: " *Three Stars* Year in and year out, this is one of the most challenging wines we taste. It never fails to skirt the edge of excess, and just when we are sure that it can not escape, it delivers a rich and polished passage on the palate with an amazing amount of highly ripe, entirely alive fruit that balances the assertive tannins and comes with enough acid energy to keep itself together for drinking now if that is your wont and cellaring for a half decade or more for those who prefer that route. 1975 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1975 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1975 is a powerful Lafite, and troublesome bottles tend to reveal more tannin and funkiness than others, which have a roasted character, combined with a gravelly, mineral underpinning. As this wine has aged, it appears to be less of a sure bet. In most cases, it has been an outstanding wine, as the bottle tasted in December suggested. The aromatics indicate the wine is fully mature, but the tough tannin level clearly underscores the dark side of the 1975 vintage. This wine will undoubtedly last for another 30+ years, but I am not sure the fruit will hold. It is a perplexing wine that may still turn out to be an exceptional Lafite. (RP)" (02/1996)

2008 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 95ST, 95W&S, 94JS, 92WS, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Monte Bello is striking. It is a decidedly muscular Monte Bello endowed with layers of dark fruit. Tobacco, mint, asphalt and crushed rocks develop in the glass, adding tons of complexity and finesse. A long, saline finish rounds things out beautifully. In 2008 the cold growing season stretched into October and the wine definitely has the feel of a cool vintage. The spring frost and the second year of drought conditions lowered yields significantly. Yields were just 1.25 tons per acre on average, but some of the older vineyards came in at less than 1 ton per acre. The balance of fruit, tannin and structure is simply extraordinary, but the wine needs time, most likely lots of it. In 2008 the blend is 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2038. 97+ (AG)" (08/2011)

It is very full-bodied and positively plush at the start, but its formidable tannins remind that the very best Cabernet Sauvignons are those built for aging, and its rich and riveting fruit powers through at the finish with such conviction that we have no doubt whatsoever that it will weather a decade of keeping with absolute ease." 2002 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 94W&S, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This 2002 was virtually perfect when I tasted it in early May. Even better than I predicted seven years ago, this 4,500-case blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot and Merlot has blossomed beautifully, revealing even greater intensity and potential than I predicted. A flawless, seamless integration of tannin, wood, alcohol and acidity is found in this dense, plum/purple-colored Dominus, along with copious notes of sweet black currants interwoven with kirsch, forest floor, unsmoked cigar tobacco, new saddle leather and forest floor. Full-bodied with velvety tannins, stunning elegance and a 45-second finish, this sensational 2002 rivals two of the all-time great wines made at Dominus, 1991 and 1994. It is hard to believe that proprietor Christian Moueix’s Dominus Estate has already celebrated its 25th anniversary and is moving toward 30

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This too is very spicy with an airy mix of red raspberry and black berry notes that complement well the pure, sweet and restrained middle weight flavors underpinned by sophisticated tannins and a sappy, mouth coating and intense finish. This is not especially dense or weighty but there is obvious class here." (01/2006)

Of the 2013 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "An utterly prodigious effort that would most likely be the wine of the vintage if not for its big brother, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard comes all from Red Mountain and was raised in 100% new French oak. Revealing a healthy ruby/purple color and classic notes of sage brush, graphite, black cherries, currants and chocolate, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness; building, present, yet ripe and polished tannin; perfect integration of its fruit, alcohol and oak; and awesome length. This is a powerhouse Cabernet Sauvignon that still holds onto a sense of elegance and finesse. Forget it fo

1967 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1967 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Spectator: "With its unique mint, chocolate and rich, cedary currant flavors, Martha's Vineyard Cabernet has a signature flavor profile. It is also distinctive for its exquisite balance and ability to age. Although the wine's flavors are largely a function of the grape and vineyard, Joe Heitz's hand could be found in the winemaking style. He made sure the wine was rich, concentrated and balanced, which ensured that it would age well." (11/2003)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2004 Tenuta San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri (1.5L) (97ST, 97WE, 94JS, 94WS, 93RP, 93VN). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby-red. Captivatingly intense yet refined aromas of ripe red cherry, mint, smoke and black truffle, complicated by lovely mineral and floral elements. Ripe, rich and velvety on entry, then concentrated in the middle, with flavors of red cherry, cassis, spices, bay leaf, dark chocolate and espresso. Amazingly well balanced and fresh wine, with sound, bright acids supplying wonderful lift and precision and smooth, noble tannins adding considerable power and grace. The finish goes on for minutes, highlighted by an enchanting floral-mineral quality; in my experience, the appearance of this strong floral component (in the absence of herbal or peppery aromas and flavors more typical of lesser vintages) at this early stage of development is typical of the greatest versions of Sassicaia. 1976 Mayacamas Late Harvest Napa Valley Zinfandel
Bid on this bottle of 1976 Mayacamas Late Harvest Napa Valley Zinfandel. Mayacamas Vineyards already had a long and storied history when Robert and Elinor Travers bought the winery and property in 1968, byt it was under the Travers' leadership that some of California's most legendary wines were made. They no longer make Zinfandel, let alone late harvest Zin, but there are still 20 head-trained Zinfandel vines planted in the late-1880s by the winery's founder that produce a tiny crop each year. Mayacamas' Late Harvest Zins were prized for their deep fruit, chewy texture and concentration.

Bid on this magnum lot of 2004 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (1.5L) (93RP, 93W&S, 92JS, 91ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An undeniable star of the vintage, Pichon-Baron’s 2004 boasts an inky/ruby/purple color to the rim as well as a big, sweet nose of melted licorice, chocolate, black currant jam, truffles, and charcoal embers. Soft tannin, full body, and abundant opulence and flesh are atypical for the vintage character, but this wine is loaded. Pure, ripe, and evolved, it should be at its finest between 2009-2022. Bid on this bottle of 2013 Patrick Javillier Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru ((92-94RP), 91BH, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru, which comes from a small parcel in Pougets just below the large trees and sees no new wood, has a delineated bouquet with clear honey and lemon curd scents, the mineral/stony notes lying in wait just behind. The palate is crisp and poised on the entry. The acidity is wonderfully judged and lends real tension to this Corton Charlemagne, while there is a convincing level of energy on the finish. This may actually just pip the 2012 past the post. (NM)" (12/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The nearly perfect 2012 Proprietary Red Ontogeny is Bevan’s least expensive and biggest production cuvée (700 cases). A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Franc, it comes from four of Russell Bevan’s favorite vineyard sources – Tench, Tin Box, Two Dogs and Sugarloaf Mountain. A big fruit bomb, it boasts a dense purple color as well as loads of crème de cassis, tobacco leaf, underbrush, graphite, lavender, roasted meats and blackberries. 2002 Elderton "Command" Single Vineyard Shiraz Barossa Valley
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Elderton "Command" Single Vineyard Shiraz Barossa Valley (95JH, 95RP, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A stunning effort, the 2002 Shiraz Command exhibits an inky/blue/purple color as well as a sweet perfume of camphor, blueberries, blackberries, acacia flowers, and smoky, toasty oak. Full-bodied, opulent, and viscous, with huge, but sweet tannin, decent acidity, and a muscular, long, 40+ second finish, this is a classic, potentially long-lived, Barossa blockbuster. It’s accessible now, but ideally needs another 2-4 years of bottle age, and should keep for two decades. (RP)" (10/2006)

A beautifully open, expressive core of fruit dazzles from start to finish, while silky tannins show an elegant, rare side of Sagrantino. Sweet varietal notes wrap around the poised, centered finish. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027. Marco Caprai continues to set the standard for contemporary wines in Montefalco. (AG)" (07/2011)

2011 Arterberry Maresh "Juliard" Dundee Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Arterberry Maresh "Juliard" Dundee Hills Pinot Noir (94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Intense and seductively bittersweet floral perfume as well as an unusually firm structure and invigorating sense of grip to Maresh’s 2011 Pinot Noir Juliard Vineyard all point toward his inclusion -- for the first time in an Arterberry Maresh wine -- of stems... 'If there’s a vineyard to test out stems on,' says Maresh, --I thought: Juliard ' savory, meaty, rugged.'' Well, this wine is at least two of those things, yet at the same time preserves the buoyancy, vibrant brightness and outright refreshment potential inherent in 2011. The combination of palpable density with levity, fluidity, and energy is quite remarkable. Juicy fresh cherry and red currant inflected by cinnamon and their piquant pits and crunchy seeds are mingled with salted veal stock and meat juices that serve for saliva-inducement, leading to a subtly chewy and invigoratingly, crunchily inc

2011 Brittan "Gestalt Block" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Brittan "Gestalt Block" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While the elderberry, blackberry and cassis evinced by Brittan’s 2011 Pinot Noir Gestalt Block preserve a vintage-typical tart edge, they’re possessed of a succulent sweetness and embedded in a more polished, downright satin-textured palate performance than was the case with the corresponding Basalt Block. Smaller clusters and berries here make for incredible density and phenolic concentration and I can feel and taste that on multiple levels, even though those facts seem to utterly belie this wine’s refined and alluring texture. (As intimated in my introduction, root penetration and soil structure -- not just vine genetics or exposure -- almost certainly, somehow, play a role in determining these characteristics.) As this opened to the air, a sense of high-toned distilled fruit essences became penetratingly and invigoratingly evident ... (DS)" (10/2013)

2013 Hidden Ridge "Impassable Mountain Reserve" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Hidden Ridge "Impassable Mountain Reserve" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Impassable Mountain Reserve sounds relatively intimidating, but if you want a quintessential example of what perfection is in my business, taste this wine! Absolutely remarkable in every sense -- the incredible pure aromatics of blue, red and black fruits, the minerality, the volcanic, earthy sweetness that emerges in a subtle fashion, the full-bodied opulence, the staggering finish of more than a minute, and its unreal concentration certainly make this one of the most compelling and profound Cabernet Sauvignons I have ever tasted, and the first perfect wine of 2016. This should be nearly immortal, drinking well young, and for those with the patience and wisdom to wait 25-35 years, a legacy wine from Sonoma.
