Black mountain fruit reigns supreme here, with an interesting hint of violet. Expressive, round and inviting, this wine was a total standout in a recent line-up of malbec's that KL staffers tasted through. Holding it's volume and weight extremely well, this wine delivers a robust yet fresh intensity that is pure and delicious. Make this your next BBQ pick! Super Recommended.

"Whoa!" That's what I said when I tasted this wine and learned about the crazy low price. Then, I immediately bought a few bottles. Alluring, smokey with notes of black cherry, this wine is layered with notes of black tea, spice and berries. My best advice to you is this, deals like this don't come around very often so take advantage while you can. Super Recommended!

What a super great entry point into the ripe fruited 2015 vintage! On the nose, you get a huge whiff of raspberry and black cherry notes. The palate is bright and firm with black fruit and a touch of spice and earth with a silky tannin finish. Give this a few big swirls in the glass to get it started, and you are good to go. Recommended!

Love this stuff! In a sea of Provence style rose, this is a unique and refreshing alternative. The flavors are reminiscent of a salted glass of pink grapefruit like a Grey Hound if you will. This is pure cocktail drinking, fragrant, refreshing, crisp and delicious! I'm chilling a couple of bottles of this for my next outdoor cookout.

From the Rioja 'n' Roll school of terroir-driven winemaking is this lovely, super drinkable Rioja. This is showing nice layers with plenty of crunchy red fruit, and juicy ripe notes of balsamic strawberries, good acidity and minerality. This is drinking beautifully right now, but definitely has some aging potential. Super recommended!

Here's a fresh, modern take on Rioja Alvesa with a nod back to ancient wine making. Fermented in amphora, this wine shows a purity of generous fleshy red fruit, yet holds it's proportion with lively acidity. This is fresh, elegant, everyday easy drinking done well! I will be pouring this at my next Paella party. Super recommended!

2015 Domaine Marcel Lapierre "Cuvée Camille" Morgon

Cuvee Camille is a real beauty! Here you have a Burgundian-esqe bottle of Morgon with complexity that comes in layers of concentrated ripe berry fruit and plum, with a streak of earthy funkiness, and clove spice. Firmly structured with fine tannins and zippy acidity, this is a wine that shows power and finesse and is one not to be missed from the 2015 vintage!

2015 Domaine Marcel Lapierre "Cuvée Lapierre MMXV" Morgon

Grown from 100+ year old vines, here you have a stellar and delicious expression from Morgon. Intensely perfumed with inviting aromas of berry fruit and orange spice, this wine shows amazing layers of luscious fruit reminiscent of pomegrante and fig. Coupled with serious structure and depth, this is a bottle built to hold, but will open up for the impatient drinker (like me) with a good hour decant. This is a splurgey Beaujolais worth the investment! Super recommended!

They don't call Fleurie "The Queen of Beaujolais” for nothing! Here you have a deceptively light-on-the-palate wine that has amazing structure. With bright red fruit and a hint of rose, this is easy to drink but must be taken seriously to truly appreciate. A super bottle at $20, and perfect for your next summer get-together!

2014 Domaine des Terres Dorées (Jean-Paul Brun) Fleurie "Grille Midi"

The Jean Paul Brun portfolio has been an amazing source for the gorgeous 2014 vintage, showing off the distinct regions of Beaujolais with ready-to-drink wines, capable of improving in a cellar. One of the crème de la crème in the bunch is the the Fleurie Grille Midi, which is expressive from start to finish. Hints of clove and cherry permeate from the glass, with a bright, Burgundian Pinot-esqe middle, and lengthy mineral finish. This is a terrific bottle!

2014 Domaine des Terres Dorées (Jean-Paul Brun) Moulin-a-Vent Les Thorins"

Packing a hedonistic punch is the full-bodied Moulin a Vent Les Thorins. This is a beautifully structured wine showing lots of power and concentration with notes of plum and cherry. The finish is long, with ripe, perfectly integrated tannins and shows a Burgundian-like earthiness. Big and beautiful, this has plenty of aging potential, but will still be an amazing drinking partner with a charcuterie platter tonight.

Drinking supremely fresh and inviting is the "Les Deux Terres" or "the two lands" which is a perky and delicious blend of 75% Cru Beaujolais and 25% Bourgogne rouge. With notes of black cherry and clove spice, the entry displays bright ripe red fruits, but has enough structure and layers to please even the most skeptical Gamay drinker. A super pick for your next picnic!

2013 Hacienda Monasterio Ribera del Duero Crianza

Never mind Napa, here's a Ribera Del Duero to sink your teeth into! This bold Tempranillo shows power and intensity from start to finish. Framed with ripe, red berry fruit and dark flavored spices, this is lush on the palate with a fine tannin finish. What a killer steakhouse wine, that won't break the bank! Recommended!

Showing it's Burgundian roots with an elegant, and restrained approach to the rich and creamy style of Chardonnay, the mid-palate exhibits a clarity of pear and apple fruit and shows plenty of depth with an intriguing stoney minerality that drinks absolutely deliciously! A super quality for the price, and super recommended!

"In grapes we trust" is the motto of Rioja n' Roll - the new school of young winemakers in Rioja of which Artuke are a part. Their philosophy is to make wine with respect for origin and terroir, and celebrate the Rioja wine region, but without the rigidity of past rules. The result is a wine that has a burst of energy from start to finish. Starting with a pretty, vibrant nose, the wine continues to deliver no shortage of fresh, juicy flavors of black cherry and herbs. This is just a totally enjoyable drinker. Super recommended!

The 2014 JJ Vincent Bourgogne Blanc is an excellent everyday drinker that demonstrates the classic and super fresh style that is indicative of the vintage. Vivacious and crowd-pleasing, JJ Vincent is sourced from the Maconnais, a Southern appellation of Burgundy that shows off the rich and ripe fruit character of the region. Made as a tribute to Jean Jacques Vincent, who has managed the family domaine of Chateau Fuisse for the past 40 years, the 2014 JJ Vincent Bourgogne Blanc is classic Bourgogne: crisp and lively, with sumptuous apple and lemon flavors. The nose is perfumed with a pretty lemon blossom note and the wine has all the hallmarks of good acidity. The nice length also shows overall balance and freshness. Fermented in stainless steel and then finished with 6 months in oak, the cuvee benefits from a nice roundness that makes this an exceptionally easy drinker ready for any casual get-together.

2009 Trimbach "Cuvée Frédéric Émile" Riesling Alsace

Riesling fans will want to splurge on this one! The Cuvée Frédéric Émile is a beautiful Riesling drinking incredibly well and showing a deliciously liberal expression. Fueled with all the classic hallmarks -- aromas of petrol and citrus blossom, generous acidity and stony minerality, a mid-palate rich with tropical fruit and weighted texture -- this wine just plain delivers. The finish is a mix of zesty, salty fruit that just lingers and lingers. A lovely wine, well worth the $50 price point.

2005 Bodegas Casa Juan Señor de Lesmos Reserva Especial Rioja

What a treat to follow up on the 2005 Lesmos Reserva with this 2005 Especial Reserva 50/50 blend of Mazuelo and Tempranillo. Here you have the same great vintage year, but with a tasty twist. The nose is fueled with fresh pencil shavings and exudes ripe berry fruit. On the palate the fruit intensity steps up with notes of raspberries, cranberries and a slight star anise bitter note. Offering a healthy medium viscosity, and displaying a good mix of acidity and tannin, this wine is fit for dinner tonight while showing great potential to hold on to for a bit. This is a lovely bottle of Rioja and well-priced at $30 bucks. Don't miss out!

The nose permeates with the flavors of Autumn displaying mouthwatering notes of vanilla and candied corn. The mouthfeel delivers a succulent full body and reveals mild hints of allspice and clove. Super delicious stuff, I can't imagine a better close to a Thanksgiving day dinner! Soothing and super recommended!

Capurro Estate Grown Single Vintage Quebranta Premium Pisco (750ml)

Taste the terroir of Peru with this single varietal Quebranta, one of the strongest yet non-aromatic of the 8 designated varietals that can be used to make pisco.
