Fleury Blanc de Noirs Brut Champagne

95 points Decanter: "The original 'green' Champagne producer, organic since 1970 and biodynamic since 1989. I picked the Brut Sonate 2011 to include in my book, which is a little more expensive, but this blanc de noirs is also brilliant, rich and creamy but dancing with a salty minerality. Drinking Window 2017 - 2024. (JA)" (12/2017) 91 points James Suckling: " Very attractive spicy and floral aromas make this an alluring proposition. But don't be fooled – the palate has yellow and pink grapefruit amid a savory, deep and embracingly powerful finish. Dr ...

Abbazia is a monastery founded in 1142 by the Augustinian Order of Canons Regular and which produces a range of white and red wines from both estate vineyards at the abbey and from smaller growers near the town of Novacella in the Isarco River Valley. White grapes are grown at the abbey and red grapes such as Schiava, Pinot Noir and Lagrein come from near Lago di Caldaro and the town of Bolzano. According to the winery, the Schiava is "Bright pale ruby, fruity on the nose, with aromas reminiscent of summer fruits and cherry; succulent, gentle and fruity ...

2013 Hahn Estates Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Crystalline cranberry, concentrated violets and rose petals and a shred of cola show on the nose of this upper-level bottling from one of the appellation’s longtime stars. The palate shows graphite and dried strawberry fruit amped up with woody coyote scrub elements, reflective of the chaparral that surrounds the property. " (12/2015) 92 points Wine Spectator: "Impressive, showing density, concentration, depth and persistence, with layers of blackberry, mocha, cedar, spice and berry pie. Finishes with a strong presence." (1 ...

2017 Torti Pinot Noir Pavia

We've been keeping an eye on the Torti family since we met them years ago in Italy and have been fans ever since. Their Pinot Noir is a rare gem and a champion for the varietal in Northern Italy. Crafted in a style that would make many in Oregon and Sonoma jealous at this kind of pricing, it has quickly become a staff and customer favorite at K&L, especially with the terrific new 2017 release.

2015 Paolo Scavino "Bric dël Fiasc" Barolo

Jancis Robinson: "Pale garnet. Integral vanilla-nut oak, then slate and fresh earth, savoury spice and wild-strawberry fruit. Richness of wild strawberry is beautifully balanced by brisk acidity. Firm, fine, resolving tannins are already becoming mouth-coating. In the ‘modern’ idiom, this is a classy wine. Lovely length and refinement. Drink 2024-2040. 18/20 points. (TJ)" (03/2019)

Wine Spectator: "A winner, offering a charming mix of smoky oak, pure ripe dark berry, spice and cedar flavors, with an appealing texture. Drink now through 2024. (JL, Web only-2018)" K&L Notes: This is the "Kith & Kin" bottling from Round Pond, which gets its name from the Old English words for friends and family. Michter's Limited Release US*1 Barrel Strength Rye (750ml)

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "This limited-release rye offers a rich aroma of vanilla and caramel. Bottled at barrel strength, it's initially drying and hot on the palate. Complex and echoing with rounded vanilla and allspice, it stands up to plenty of dilution, and finishes on a hint of almond. (KN)" (07/2016) K&L Notes: The Michter's name has been synonymous with great whisky since the 1950s. 2017 Domaine Jean-Michel Dupré "Haut Ronze" Régnié Vieilles Vignes

After inheriting a small, 2-hectare vineyard near the village of Beaujeu, Jean Michel Dupré converted an old farm building into a winery and sought out grapes from distinctive vineyards, many with older vines. According to the winery, the La Ronze vineyard is located on a hill located in the Cru Regnie, or "the prince of Beaujolais," as it is the region's newest appellation. A high level of granite in the soil gives the wine a pleasing mix of Gamay fruit and minerality.

Jefferson's "Special Wheated Mashbill" Ocean Voyage #15 Aged at Sea Very Small Batch Straight Bourbon (750ml)

This limited edition Jefferson's Ocean Voyage is the first and only wheated bourbon to be aged at sea and visit five separate continents before being bottled. Jefferson's Bourbon has always been a producer focused on innovation, and the Ocean Voyage program is perhaps their most ambitious yet. They've had incredible success with the very unusual aging regime and this is easily the best we've tried yet. Something about the soft sweetness of the wheated mashbill and the tangy saline of the ocean influence works absolute wonders. This is one of the most exc ...

2017 Mt Beautiful Sauvignon Blanc North Canterbury

93 points Wine & Spirits: "This grows on the east coast of New Zealand’s South Island, the vines protected from the ocean winds by a range of coastal mountains. It’s a fresh, substantial white with ripe notes of green pear and a buzz of orange-like acidity. For such a big wine, it manages to feel crunchy and coastal, built for sea bass roasted with fennel." 2017 Domaine Marcel Lapierre Morgon

94 points James Suckling: "Some very stony and flinty aromas with graphite. Red and dark plums, too. Smells fresh and very complex already. The palate has great density and a fine, compressed tannin texture, as well as a very focused finish. Spiced black cherries and blackberries, cassis and dark chocolate to close. Short carbonic maceration and juice is racked off during the carbonic process. A captivatingly powerful but focused Morgon. No Côte du Puy due to the hail in 2017. Best from 2020. " (02/2018)

Compass Box Hedonism "Tobias & The Angel" Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)

Compass Box whisky maker John Glaser states: "For nearly 20 years, since we created our malt blend called Eleuthera in 2002, we have held a special reverence for the two distilleries used in Tobias & The Angel. That’s when I first discovered how perfectly these single malts complement each other. When we were recently offered extremely old and special parcels of whiskies from these two distilleries, I was compelled to put them together again. There is nothing else here, just this magical pairing of single malt whiskies."

It shows approximately the same evolution as the 1989 in bottle, but unsurprisingly showed less bricking in magnum format.
