2018 Bodegas Colomé Torrontes Valle Calchaquí Salta
Review Date: 09-24-2019
I might be stretching it a bit when I say this is text-book Torrontes but it kind of is, just with a little more flash. The nose on this is remindes me of Lilium and white lilacs. And as I dig deeper the mineral, exotic fruit and zestiness rise. At room temperature, this wine shows a balanced palate that’s full of concentrated ripe fruit and freshness but finishes dry. This is quite enjoyable and a pleaser!

2016 Argiano "Solengo" Toscana
Review Date: 09-07-2019
2016 Argiano "Solengo" Toscana (Pre-Arrival) Indicative blend: 25% Syrah, 30% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon 99 points James Suckling 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Giacomo Tachis has given us another great vintage of his French driven grape-varieties grown in high elevated Tuscan soils and what an expression this is. I can see why the first picked grapes are Syrah and Merlot, they both lend such great aroma and bold color that appeals to the nose and eye immediately, while the second picked Cabernet and Petite Verdot add that layer of perfectly ripened red, purple and blueberries and fruit. If you are a lover of Super Tuscans this is your wine! This one right out the bottle and into your glass shows beautifully but, decant and you will experience this wine blossoming like a true Super Tuscan with layers upon layers of flavor that can go on for days after opening.

2017 Lúuma (AKA Wine Co.) Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Review Date: 09-03-2019
This is a clean and focused style of Chardonnay with a light citrus and stone fruit note in the finish. On the nose a bit of white flower and almond shells. I love the mouthfeel and body from this wine, it is medium-bodied and not overly aggressive or too lush, plus the acidity is just perfect. The palate is clean with a hit of citrus and stone fruits. If you are a mostly French Chardonnay drinker, this is that version but domestic with 80% in stainless, 20% oak, with 10% being new, and 15% malolactic fermentation. This is the perfect wine if you want freshness and complexity.

2018 Franck Millet Sancerre Rosé
Review Date: 09-03-2019
I've always stood by the comment, "to truly enjoy rosé you first have to know what is your 'style.'" This Franck Millet Rosé of Pinot is exactly what the wine doctor ordered. It has so much expression on the nose and palate you won't believe how much they match. Cherries and wild strawberries with a touch of savory herbs, finishing dry but lingering. This is a serious rosé for a great price. You will not be disappointed.

2016 Lucien Lardy "Les Moriers" Fleurie
Review Date: 08-09-2019
Just to start this wine over delivers for the price. Lucien Lardy's Fleurie shows exactly what the Les Moriers terroir has long been known to produce, special wines with fruit, savoriness, simplicity yet potential to age. This wine is not just appetizing to the taste but the smell confirms its status as one of the appellation’s top sites. And its my favorite. From its lovely aroma, reminiscent of flower petals and ripe sour cherries, to the surprisingly rich, palate-coating flavor, this Fleurie beautifully combines high-toned finesse with a potent depth to age. Hard to believe a wine at this price can be delicate and intense at the same time but this is the trademark of Les Moriers at its best. This is not only a summer sipper but a wine I feel can be enjoyed all year round. A beauty in a bottle and a great investment for your cellar, hold for 10+ years.
