2002 Colonial Estates "Exile" Barossa Valley Shiraz

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even more intense than the 2003, the 2002 Exile is a superb example of this fabulous vintage in Barossa. Black/purple-colored with sensational purity, a blackberry liqueur, cassis intensity, and beautifully integrated wood, alcohol, and tannin, this large yet brilliantly balanced effort can be drunk now, but promises to age effortlessly for 10-15 years." (10/2005) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Ripe and generous, teeming with spicy, peppery, slightly earthy blackberry, cocoa bean and tar flavors, finishing with fin ...

2009 Mollydooker "Carnival of Love" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia

94 points Wine Spectator: "(Ranked #55 on the Top 100 wines of 2010) Dense and chewy, but after an initial hit this backs off to let the gorgeous smoke-tinged black cherry, mulberry, dried tomato and tomato leaf flavors emerge at an almost leisurely pace. There's a sense of refinement underneath the raw power, and the finish holds on expressively. (HS)" (09/2010) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Carnival of Love is 100% Shiraz coming from a single vineyard of 9 year old vines and matured in 97% new and 3% one year American oak. Very d ...

2001 Yalumba "Octavius" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from yields of 1.2 tons of fruit per acre, the 2001 Shiraz Octavius spent 20 months in both French and American oak. A blockbuster, structured Shiraz with oodles of personality/soul, it offers a sumptuous bouquet as well as flavors of chocolate, white flowers, blackberry and cassis liqueur, prunes, figs, roasted meats, and burning embers. This full-bodied, hugely extracted, monster Shiraz has amazing balance and symmetry for its large-scaled style. It needs another 1-3 years of cellaring, and should last ...

1999 Noon "Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon Langhorne Creek South Australia

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve could easily be called a Pauillac from Australia. Dense ruby/purple, a classic Cabernet nose of cedar wood, smoke, cassis, mineral, lead pencil, and new oak soars from the glass. In the mouth, it is full-bodied, with fabulous concentration and multi-layered texture, high levels of glycerin, and a seamless, concentrated, long finish with well-integrated tannin, acidity, and alcohol. This is no wimpish wine at 14.6% alcohol, but sadly, there are only 290 cases of this 100% Cabern ...

2010 Mollydooker "The Carnival of Love" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia

95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Full bore and hedonistic, yet still holding everything together and showing impeccable class and character, the 2010 Mollydooker Shiraz Carnival of Love is 100% Shiraz that delivers a wild array of black and blue fruits, roasted meats, licorice, lavender, and hints of charred herbs on the nose. Exuberant and decidedly ripe, this hits the palate with a full-bodied, rich, yet light texture, layers of sweet fruit, good acidity, and a clean, lengthy finish that highlights ripe, polished tannin. While not for the faint of heart, this i ...

2004 Noon "Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon Langhorne Creek

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve exudes notes of creme de cassis, marmite, some dried herbs and meat with a touch of menthol. Full and generous, it has great mid-palate weight supported by a crisp acid line and medium-firm, fine-grained tannins. It finishes long. Drink it now to 2024+. (LPB)" (02/2014) 90 points Wine Enthusiast: "The wine now bears a South Australia appellation because the fruit is coming from Langhorne Creek. This vintage clocks in at 15.5% alcohol, with nutmeg ...

2005 Penfolds "St. Henri" Shiraz South Australia (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2005 Penfolds "St. Henri" Shiraz South Australia (1.5L) (94JD, 92ST, 90RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Only slightly behind the RWT, the 2005 Penfolds Shiraz St. Henri comes from vineyards throughout South Australia and as opposed to the RWT (which is aged in French oak, some new), is aged all in larger wooded vats for 16 months prior to bottling. Beautifully aromatics and complex, with a slightly cooler climate feel than the RWT, it possesses loads of peppered dark fruits, eucalyptus, bacon fat, wild herbs, and hints of chocolate on the nose. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, with a layered, voluptuous mouth feel, superb freshness, and still kicking, yet ripe tannin, this absolutely first-rate Aussie Shiraz benefits from a decant (it was even better on the second day), and will continue to shine for upwards of another decade. 94+" (06/2012)
