92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I was blown away by the 2015 Côtes du Rhône Yves Cheron les Dentelles. Made from 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah aged all in cement, it’s a big, rich, full-bodied beauty that’s loaded with notions of kirsch, blackberries, toasted spices and white pepper. 2017 Domaine de Millet Colombard-Ugni Blanc Côtes de Gascogne Blanc

Côtes de Gascogne is primarily known for the production of Armagnac; it wasn’t until the last 20 years or so that producers began to take table wine production seriously. Traditionally, these wines would have been distilled into Armagnac. Producers found that by fermenting at lower temperatures in stainless steel, they could develop and preserve more powerful aromatics. Though yields are high, costs have stayed low and the wines are consequently some of the best bargain whites in France. Domaine de Millet is first and foremost an Armagnac producer. They ...

2017 Domaine la Croix Belle "Caringole" Côtes de Thongue Rouge

Just outside the city of Montpellier lie the vineyards of La Croix Belle, a family owned and operated Domaine that traces it roots in the region through more than two centuries. Francoise and Jacques Boyer assumed control of the property in the late 1970s with an eye towards making clean expressive wines that reflect the region. A lot of replanting was done, yields were lowered and modern winemaking techniques and facilities were adopted. This eye for detail had delivered us some of the freshest and most compelling values of the season. The Caringole ...

2017 Montmassot Picpoul de Pinet

90 points Decanter: "A fresh and zippy mouthful of concentrated and fragrant lime peel and grapefruit. Lovely balance and concentration." (02/2018) K&L Notes: The appellation of Picpoul de Pinet covers about 3,000 acres just off the coast of the Mediterranean. It is famous for two things, oysters and this wine of origin, Picpoul. Picpoul itself is the grape and means "lip stinger," which has become a running joke in our Hollywood store. Whenever we taste a new Picpoul we ask each other if it "pics your poul?" (01/2019) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Delas has done a good job with their Ventoux over the years, and the 2017 Ventoux is perhaps their best yet. An organically farmed, naturally made Grenache-Cabernet-Carignan blend from Aubais, a small medieval village south of Nîmes. Deeply terraced and steep, with plentiful rocky soil, the Malmont vineyard is no breeze to cultivate—the vineyard's name means "bad mountain."
