2015 Torti Barbera Oltrepo Pavese

90 points James Suckling: "A very pretty and fruity barbera with flavors of cherries and raspberries, as well as a hint of vanilla highlighting the medium body. Fresh acidity, too. A delicious wine. Drink now. " (06/2018) K&L Notes: The Barbera grapes for this wine were grown in vineyards dating back to the early 19th century. It's a vibrant ruby red in the glass with a dry, full body. Thanks to the long growing season in this northern part of Italy, the wine develops gorgeous acid that makes it a perfect accompaniment to roasted and braised meats.

2013 Le Marchesine Rosé Franciacorta Brut

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Franciacorta Millesimato Brut Rosé (disgorged in 2018) is one of those pink sparkling wines that looks so beautiful when poured into the glass. The wine's luminous appearance is magnified by the shiny gleam of its soft perlage. This is a 50/50 blend of Pinot Nero and Chardonnay aged on the lees for 42 months. That's just enough yeast contact to build the wine's texture and those lasting flavors of stone fruit, wild berry and baked bread. (ML) 91+" (12/2018)

2015 Sandro Fay "Il Glicine" Valtellina Superiore Valgella

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Valtellina Superiore Sassella Il Glicine is a subdued and delicate red wine with elegant aromas of rose bud, cassis and wild blueberry. There is a spicy touch of crushed white pepper that adds complexity at the back. Fruit for this wine comes from a vineyard located some 470 meters above sea level. This is a mid-weight red with lasting substance and freshness. Some 6,809 bottles were produced." (12/2018) K&L Notes: Known for producing the Nebbiolo of the Alps, Valtellina is a region of terraced mountai ...

2015 Sandro Fay "Ca' Morei" Valtellina Superiore Valgella

Importer's notes: "Sandro Fay's Ca Morei Valtellina Superiore is 100% Nebbiolo Chiavennasca. This single vineyard red is grown at a higher elevation compared to Costa Bassa, the basic wine from Sandro Fay. This different exposure gives the wine more body and darker fruit. This wine is a perfect example of how Sandro Fay is committed to promoting single vineyards, which produce wines with distinctive characteristics due to their different soils and altitudes. They practice organic viticulture, and this Nebbiolo goes through fermentation in stainless steel ...

2002 Nino Negri Sfursat 5 Stelle (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2002 Nino Negri Sfursat 5 Stelle in original wood. Jancis Robinson: "Proof that Cinque Stelle takes a while to come around. Still way too young, but the oak is toning down. Very slowly this is coming round; plum fruit is showing through the oak on the nose, fruit cake on the palate. Still too ballsy. Leave at least another 5 years. (PH) 17/20 points" (10/2007)
