Bid on this bottle of 1971 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche (95BH, 90RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Classic and very ripe mature burg fruit intermingles with a wonderful array of spices, especially anise and soy all of which are framed by a touch of caramel. The flavors are extremely rich, sweet and wonderfully concentrated with a deep, very sweet essence of pinot finish that still retains glimpses of its former power. The tannins are fully resolved and the finish is nothing but pure silk and velvet. Tasted many times and while there is some bottle variation, well-stored bottles are consistently marvelous." (10/2011)
Starting Bid: $1,000.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Vega Sicilia "Valbuena 5°" Ribera del Duero (91RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Valbuena gives up aromas of fresh herbs, spice box, lavender, and black cherry. Just a bit lean on the palate, it has some elegance, savory flavors, and adequate balance. (JM)" (06/2010)
Starting Bid: $196.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2010 Agharta "Black Label" North Coast Syrah Rated 94 points Vinous! Pax Mahle's Agharta label remains a solid go-to for well-crafted reds from northern California at nearly any price point. 94 points, VInous - "Agharta's 2010 Syrah emerges from Alder Springs and spent a five full years in barrel. Powerful and intense, but with exceptional nuance, the 2010 is absolutely gorgeous. A host of blood orange, white pepper, smoke, rose petal and sweet red cherry are fused together in a wine that shows the natural concentration that develops with extended time in barrel. There is a lot going on in this dramatic, sweeping Syrah from Pax Mahle's Agharta label. This is a super-impressive wine. A drop of Grenache rounds out the blend. 1/16 (AG)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95ST, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon contains 1% Merlot. It offers a brooding aromatic array of toasty oak, Asian spices, incense, a hint of sage, violets, and assorted black fruits. More structured than the preceding wines, No doubting it’s Red Mountain say the Golitzins, it has plenty of ripe tannin more than balanced by loads of succulent fruit, exceptional density, richness and power. Give it 5-6 years and drink it from 2016 to 2033. (JM)" (08/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Lucien Le Moine Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Amoureuses".
Starting Bid: $381.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse "Cailloux Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (98RP, 97WE, (94-96JD), 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from a cold, late vintage where the Syrah didn’t ripen until the first part of October, the 2010 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard showed spectacularly in the retrospective. Inky purple in color, it gives up classic floral qualities intermixed with ample olive tapenade, black raspberry, lavender, orange blossom and pepper on the nose. This gives way to a full-bodied, sexy, seamless and yet always elegant Syrah that has juicy acidity and ripe tannin kicking in on the finish. This was the first vintage where they moved part of the élevage to foudre, and this spent 16 months in roughly 15% new French oak. (JD)" (06/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Charles Heidsieck "Blanc des Millénaires" Brut Champagne (95DC, 95RP, 95VN, 95WS, 94ST, 93JS, 93W&S). Vinous: "The 1995 Brut Blanc des Millenaires shows just how compelling this often overlooked vintage can be. Layers of lemon, pastry spices, crushed rocks and savory herbs literally jump from the glass in this exquisite, perfumed, beautifully delineated Champagne. The 1995 shows lovely flavor complexity and nuance from its extended time in bottle, yet it also retains plenty of freshness, verve and acidity. This is a great showing from Charles Heidsieck. The 1995 was made before the tenure of the house's current team, headed by CEO Cécile Bonnefond. It will be very interesting to see what develops at this historic property over the coming years. (AG)" (10/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Castello dei Rampolla "Vigna d'Alceo" Toscana (100VN, 96JS, 96WE, 95WS). Vinous: "Readers should do whatever they can to get their hands on a few bottles of the 2013 d'Alceo. Seamless and voluptuous in the glass, it is an epic wine that embodies all the qualities that make these terraced vineyards in Panzano so special. Blackberry jam, crème de cassis, plum, licorice and spice meld together in the glass, but it is the wine's textural intensity that elevates it into the realm of the profound. The 2013 has been nothing short of moving on the two occasions I tasted it recently. (AG)" (01/2018)
