2010 Cantemerle, Haut-Médoc
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Cantemerle, Haut-Médoc (94JS, 94RP, 92DC, 92WE, 91WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The wine needs a good 7-10 years of cellaring and should keep for 30 more years, but this is the finest Cantemerle I have encountered in my professional career of tasting young vintages (dating back 34 years now). Stunningly deep ruby/purple, with a beautiful nose of spring flowers intermixed with perfumed raspberry and blueberry notes, it exhibits a sort of cool-climate character. Broad, rich and intense on the palate, the wine has plenty of tannins, but they are sweet and well-integrated. Everything is delicately entwined into this beautiful, medium to full-bodied, dense purple wine, which shows stunning character and a prodigious potential for development. This is definitely a major sleeper of the vintage and even better than I thought from barrel. With its 2010, this classified growth located in the southern end of the Medoc may well have made a modern-day v

Rita Hills Syrah,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Leading off the reds, the extended barrel-aged 2014 Syrah Capo Dei Putti boasts an insane bouquet of cedarwood, white chocolate, caramelized meats, candle way, and assorted red and black fruits. With full-bodied richness, ultra-fine tannins, and an incredible elegance, it changed every time I came back to the glass and is a multi-dimensional, riveting red wine from California. A blend of 90% Syrah and the balance Viognier, Petite Sirah, and Grenache, partially destemmed and aged 38 months in 94% new French oak, give this beauty 2-3 years of bottle age, count your

Of the 2001 Zind Humbrecht Rotenberg Pinot Gris Alsace,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The Vendange Tardive-like 2001 Pinot Gris Rotenberg (indice 4) is super ripe and reveals some trace effects of botrytis. Its apricot jam aromas lead to a sensual, lush, medium-bodied personality filled with white peaches, apricots, jellied yellow plums, and smoky spices. Broad, silky-textured, and lush, this is an intensely flavorful, off-dry wine for pairing with foie gras. (RP)" (10/2003)

Thomas Handy "2010 Release" (BTAC) 126.9 Proof Straight Rye Whiskey (750ml-1 bottle limit)
Bid on this bottle of Thomas Handy "2010 Release" (BTAC) 126.9 Proof Straight Rye Whiskey (750ml) (93WA). Whisky Advocate: "One of the best Handy offerings yet. Very vibrant with dynamic spice (firm mint, warming cinnamon, allspice, hint of clove) and lush fruit (citrus, orchard fruit, golden raisin, brandy, and teasing coconut), all tamed by a bed of soothing caramel and honey. It’s not easy for a whiskey to come across as excitingly youthful, yet nicely matured. It’s a difficult balance to achieve, but this whiskey pulls it off. George T. Stagg "2009 Release" (BTAC) 141.4 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon (750ml)
Bid on this bottle of George T. Stagg "2009 Release" (BTAC) 141.4 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon (750ml) (95WA). Whisky Advocate: "Like the William Larue Weller releases a couple years back, I felt that the Stagg releases (after being brought down in strength) were almost too easy-going. Like the new Weller release, this bourbon has improved greatly, to classic status. Clean, balanced notes of toffee, molasses, nougat, polished leather, dates, roasted nuts, cinnamon, subtle summer fruits, teasing mint, ground coffee, nutmeg, and a hint of tobacco. Long, balanced finish. An outstanding bourbon! -John Hansell (Spring 2010)" (04/2010)

Thomas H. Handy "2009 Release" (BTAC) 129 Proof Straight Rye Whiskey (750ml-1 bottle limit)
Bid on this bottle of Thomas H. Handy "2009 Release" (BTAC) 129 Proof Straight Rye Whiskey (750ml) (92WA). Whisky Advocate: "Distilled in 2002, this is the youngest of the collection, allowing the vibrancy and boldness of the rye grain to shine through (and an interesting comparison to the Sazerac 18 year old). Lush fruit, Seville orange, gin botanicals, fresh mint, golden raisin, dried pineapple, coconut, and honeydew melon, tamed by soothing caramel and vanilla. Lingering dried fruit and spice finish. Not excessively aggressive like some young ryes I’ve tasted. I really like the dark sugar notes and lushness in this year’s release that provide balance. One of the best Handys. - John Hansell (Spring 2010)" (04/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Cayuse "The Lovers" Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah (94RP, 93ST, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and a splash of Syrah (10%) that was first made in 2010, the 2011 The Lovers has some solid Cayuse funk, with copious peat moss, herbs, mineral and violets balanced nicely by black-cherry-styled fruit. Medium to full-bodied, layered and nicely textured, it offers plenty of up-front appeal yet should also evolve gracefully. (JD)" (06/2014)

2008 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95ST, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon contains 1% Merlot. It offers a brooding aromatic array of toasty oak, Asian spices, incense, a hint of sage, violets, and assorted black fruits. More structured than the preceding wines, No doubting it’s Red Mountain say the Golitzins, it has plenty of ripe tannin more than balanced by loads of succulent fruit, exceptional density, richness and power. Give it 5-6 years and drink it from 2016 to 2033. (JM)" (08/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 1972 Glendronach 39 Year Old "Cask #712" Non-Chillfiltered Single Oloroso Sherry Butt Single Malt Whisky in original wood. The famous 1972 Oloroso Sherry Butt #712 from Glendronach is one of the rarest and most sought-after single casks in the world. Winner of the 2011 Malt Maniacs awards, it beat out legends like '82 Port Ellen, '52 Glen Grant, '81 Karuizawa, to take top honors. 95.5 points Jim Murray's Whiskey Bible 2012. One of only 466 bottles. Serge Valentine of Whiskyfun.com reviewed this one favorably, "Colour: mahogany. Nose: a wonderful profile, very much in line with last year’s winner, cask #700. Same kind of big yet subtle notes of peonies and roses, then raisins, raspberry ganache, ‘good’ gunpowder, old leather, praline, chocolate and then hints of cured ham and more and more prunes. Quite masterly, maybe not utterly stunning but certainly very consensual. Typical winner of a 100% blind multitaster competition ;-). Mouth: it’s big and quite powerful d

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 80.5% Syrah, 7% Petite Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre, 2% Grenache and 3.5% Viognier, all sourced from estate vineyards—37% The Third Twin, 36% Eleven Confessions and 27% Cumulus—the 2015 Syrah Trouver L’Arene was made using 34% whole cluster and has a deep purple-black color with intense cassis, black plums and black cherries scents plus hints of anise, violets, sage and tar, with wafts of savory/smoked meat suggestions. Sazerac 18 Year Old "2009 Release" (BTAC) 90 proof Straight Rye Whiskey (750ml) (1 btl limit)
Bid on this bottle of Sazerac 18 Year Old "2009 Release" (BTAC) 90 proof Straight Rye Whiskey (750ml). The Sazerac 18 year old is one of the oldest regularly release rye whiskies on the market. It was distilled in the fall of 1985 and likely put into tanks around 2003. This old rye whiskey was distilled from mostly Minnesota Rye with the small grain being Kentucky Corn and the finish grain North Dakota Distillers Malt. It was aged for 18 years in warehouse K losing 56.13% of its original volume in that time. The Sazerac 18 year is always one of the hardest BTAC to acquire as it come from only 28 hand picked barrels.

2016 Sine Qua Non "Dirt Vernacular" California Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Dirt Vernacular" California Grenache (100JD, (95-98VN), 96RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the finest Grenaches to ever pass my lips is the 2016 Grenache Dirt Vernacular and it’s 78% Grenache, 11.5% Mourvèdre, 7% Touriga Nacional, and the rest Petite Sirah. Reminding me of an old vine Grenache cuvée from the Maurel brothers in Châteauneuf du Pape, it boasts a huge nose of black raspberries, kirsch liqueur, graphite, ground herbs, and pepper. This is one of those wines that offers incredible intensity and depth, yet still just glides over the palate with no sense of heaviness whatsoever. Full-bodied, rich, layered, and pure, it’s a riveting example of Grenache that could come from nowhere else. Drink it any time over the coming 15+ years." (10/2018)
