2009 Louis Latour Corton "Grancey" Grand Cru

94 points James Suckling: "A tangy red with sliced apple, citrus, plum, chocolate, and fresh herb. Full to medium body, beautiful core of fruit and a bright finish. Chewy and polished. Tight now. Give this time. Drink or hold. " (06/2015) 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "An intense and concentrated wine, with dense black fruits balanced by acidity. There is ripeness here, with a firm, ageworthy structure as well as delicious juicy Pinot Noir character. 1999 Bertrand Ambroise Corton Grand Cru "Le Rognet"

94-97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The intense, black-colored 1999 Corton Le Rognet reveals black fruit, fresh herb, and Asian spice aromas. Ambroise generally produces 32 hectoliters per hectare from his 0.7 hectares of vines in this grand cru. In 1999, however, he harvested 40 hectoliters per hectare at 14.5% natural potential alcohol. This is a monster of a wine, crammed with blackberries, road tar, cherries, kirsch, and a myriad of spices. Its loads of exquisitely ripened tannins are soaked in sweet, candied fruits. This powerful, chewy off ...

2016 Domaine Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru

95-98 points Vinous: "Bright ruby. Fruit-driven aromas of crushed black cherry and dark raspberry convey outstanding pungent lift. Incredibly concentrated, sappy and primary, conveying outstanding juicy purity and compelling thickness to its dark fruit and violet flavors. At once hugely powerful and utterly seamless, this wine finishes with great spicy length and lift. A real essence of Burgundy--and likely to evolve gracefully for 25 years or more. (ST)" (01/2018) 96 points Wine Spectator: "The serious depth is held in reserve for now, offering black ...

2015 Domaine Ponsot Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (1.5L)

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is excellent, opening in the glass with notes of golden orchard fruit, spring flowers, orange zest and hazelnut cream, gently framed by new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a glossy attack, superb concentration and an almost chewy sense of extract, its taut structural elements asserting themselves on the grippy finish. While this is marked by the warmth of the vintage it has the necessary energy and freshness to retain its balance. (WK)" (04/2018) 89-92 poin ...

91-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A pure and very cool nose reluctantly reveals restrained notes of rose petals, red and dark berries that also flashes hints of the sauvage and freshly turned earth. There is outstanding richness and drive to the powerful and seriously intense broad-shouldered flavors that possess excellent mid-palate density thanks to the abundance of dry extract, all wrapped in a linear and robust finish. This serious effort is very impressive." (01/2018) 91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Corton Clos du Roi ...

2015 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru

94 points James Suckling: "A very flinty, stony and minerally edge with white peaches and yellow citrus fruits, leading to a palate with a very powerful, dense and rich core of white peaches. Very long, phenolic drive. Impressive. Drink or hold until 2025." (02/2018) 92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a composed, citrus peel, granitic bouquet that feels a little "cooler" than others that I have encountered, the altitude and clay soils lending this the reserve to counterbalance the precocity of the grow ...

Full-bodied, layered and textured with soft creamy tannins and light stone and walnut undertones. Gun flint. Always a fantastic white. So constant. Drink or hold. " (04/2017) 95 points Wine Enthusiast: "A flagship wine for this producer, this is rich and seductive, opulent even. Bold yellow fruits, ripe apples and pears are surrounded by a youthful texture that will allow it to age. The fruit and the touches of wood are still present, but will integr ...

With its stunning concentration and vitality, this could wake the dead! A great and dynamic expression of this unique terroir that could be drunk now, but it also has a huge future ahead of it." (02/2018) 96 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An extremely ripe nose manages to avoid any sense of surmaturité on the liqueur-like aromas of black cherry, cassis, anise and lilac scents. Just about ready. Love tasting this. " (06/2015) 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "A firm, powerful wine, its tannins still very dominant. Acidity is a factor, along with deep red-plum fruit. Some sweetness will develop in the next several years, although this concentrated and complex wine will also have a solid core of dry, structured tannin. Age for at least five ...

2015 Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Corton Grand Cru "Clos du Roi" (1.5L) (Pre-Arrival)

92-95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a pronounced ripeness to the less elegant and much more sauvage-inflected aromas of cassis, plum liqueur, freshly turned earth and forest floor nuances. The palate impression though is more like that of the Bressandes in that it's muscular yet reasonably refined while evidencing focused power on the well-balanced and gorgeously persistent finish. I very much like the mouth feel thanks to the dense but fine-grained tannins and this should also amply reward extended cellaring. *Sweet Spot*" (04/2017) 92-9 ...

Restrained nose suggests dark fruits, licorice pastille, spices, bitter chocolate and cedar, with a pungent mineral quality emerging with aeration. 2016 Domaine Louis Jadot (Domaine des Héritiers) Corton Grand Cru "Pougets"

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Structured, shot through with intense acidity as well as red fruits, this dense wine comes from a sub-section of the Corton Grand Cru. Its weight and density are already integrated with the fruit, promising a slow, steady aging process before reaching a splendid maturity. Drink the wine from 2025." (04/2019) 94 points Decanter: "The Pougets is one of the stars of the Jadot range in 2016, leaping from the glass with a deep bouquet of sapid black fruit, mossy soil, roasted game, coffee and game bird. 2010 Domaine de Montille Corton Grand Cru "Clos du Roi" (Pre-Arrival)

93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Corton Clos du Roi graces the palate with exquisite depth and sheer purity. Layers of seamless fruit emerge from this sublime, totally refined wine. De Montille used two-thirds whole clusters and 50% new oak barrels, but none of that stands out. It is the superb depth and purity of the fruit that elevates the Clos du Roi to its lofty position. This really leaves a strong lasting impression. The palate is smooth and harmonious, sweet and ripe with a grainy texture and notes of blood orange complementing the red fruit toward the structured and persistence finish. This is very classy, voluminous and with very satisfying purity from start to finish. A splendid Corton from l'equipe Tollot-Beaut. “The domaine lost two-thirds of the crop,” Nathalie T ...

2011 Domaine Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru

92-95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "As is usually the case with this wine when it’s young, the nose is restrained to the point of being almost mute though aggressive swirling liberates aromas of earth, spice, red currant and hints of the sauvage. And instead of the robust and well-muscled mid-palate there is an almost caressing mouth feel to the full-bodied yet refined flavors because while the supporting tannins are definitely firm and dense they are also quite finely-grained. There is both fine detail and a beguiling texture to the equally broad-shouldered and even more mineral-inflected flavors that possess even better complexity on the balanced and hugely long finish. A cool vintage expression with more intensity at the finish. This will age very well. Try from 2024." There is once again fine volume, energy and intensity to the broad-shouldered flavors that possess excellent minerality that really comes up on the relatively refined, balanced and austere finale. Suave and silky on entry, then broad on the middle palate, with its inviting touch of sweetness nicely buffered by terroir-driven minerality. The wine's strong yellow peach, licorice and pistachio flavors are lifted by notes of lime and stone. 2010 Coche Dury Corton Charlemagne
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Coche Dury Corton Charlemagne (99BH, 98RP, 97ST, 97VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Tasted at a dinner in Beaune. I happened to have the chance to taste this alongside the '07 and '05 versions (as well as the '07 Perrières), and as wonderful as those are, the 2010 is simply at another level. A cool and restrained, indeed almost grudging nose is composed by strikingly fresh notes of mineral reduction, citrus peel, Granny Smith and a wisp of wood. The delineation of the sleek and tautly muscular flavors is brilliant as is the outstanding depth that suffuses both the mid-palate and finish that is shaped by a tightly coiled acid spine. In my view this beautifully harmonious and Zen-like effort is the best Coche Corton-Charlie since the stunningly good 1996." (02/2018)
