1993 Glen Garioch 21 Year Old "Adelphi" Single 1st Fill Sherry Butt Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)

This exceptional single cask of Glen Garioch was bottled way back in 2015 by Adelphi. They split the cask between the US and European markets and bottled on 221 bottles for this side of the Atlantic. The dense dark sherry and old school malt character are indicative of the old style Glen Garioch that has since been adjusted. They used their traditional malt floors all the way up until their closure in 1994, so this may have been made from barley malted onsite. Regardless of that fact, the spirit is one of the finest modern Glen Gariochs we've ever tasted ...

1993 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Although closed, the 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon is crammed with so much sweet, blackcurrant fruit that it does not take a genius to figure out what this wine is all about. It offers an opaque garnet/purple color, a moderately intense, cassis, smoky, herb, and earthy nose, fabulous concentration, good muscle, and a boatload of sweet tannin. While drinkable, it needs another 4-5 years of cellaring. It will easily last for 20 years. (RP)" (12/1996) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Excellent intensity and focus, with vibran ...

1993 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is one of the more tannic and backward wines I have tasted from Silver Oak. Now that it has been bottled, it has closed down, displaying far less lushness and obvious concentration than it did last year. The color remains a healthy dark ruby/purple, and the nose offers earthy, toasty new oak, and sweet black fruit aromas. Tight, yet powerful and rich, this full-bodied, dense, atypically backward Cabernet Sauvignon does not possess Silver Oak's usual approachability and prec ...

1993 Through The Grapevine "François Voyer Lot 93" Single Barrel Cask Strength Grande Champagne Cognac(750ml)

The Through The Grapevine project is one of the most exciting Cognac collections to come to market ever. The distillate literally only sees a coarse particulate filter before bottling. Nothing is added to these impeccably sourced brandies, including water. This Cognac from the François Voyer estate was distilled in 1993 from 100% Ugni Blanc. The results after 25 years are profound. The intensity, depth, complexity, and purity of this Cognac is unrivaled.

1993 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I reported last year, the 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard is a spectacular wine...The Eisele Vineyard 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the half dozen or so candidates for wine of the vintage. I have tasted it three times out of bottle, once rating it as high as 98, but never less than 96. It is a mind-boggling Cabernet Sauvignon that is remarkably well-balanced for its size and intensity. The color is an opaque purple, and the nose offers up smoky, chocolatey, blackcurrant, licorice, and mineral scent ...

1993 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1993 Les Pavots, another impressive wine from a vintage that has plenty of skeptics in the West Coast press, reveals a dense, ruby/purple color, and a complex nose of smoke, spice, toast, and black fruits. Medium to full-bodied, with an inner-core of sweet, rich fruit, outstanding purity, and a powerful yet elegant personality, this layered, multi-dimensional wine should drink well young, but keep for 20+ years. The blend for Peter Michael's Les Pavots proprietary red wine varies year to year, but the composi ...

1993 Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

1993 M. Chapoutier "Le Pavillon" Hermiatge Rouge(1.5L) (Pre-Arrival)

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1993 Le Pavilion is the Hermitage of the Vintage. More austere than when I tasted it prior to bottling, it is one of the few 1993s with a sweet inner core of fruit, as well as a dense ruby/purple color, outstanding concentration and extract, and huge tannin in the finish. It is a harder style of Le Pavilion than the 1992, but it should turn out to be a 40- to 50-year wine. (RMP)" (12/1996) 92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Mature and drinking at point, the 1993 M. Chapoutier Ermitage Le Pavillon shows meaty black che ...

1993 Duckhorn "Three Palms" Napa Valley Merlot

While many of California's young wineries, especially those in the Napa Valley, chose to focus their energy on Cabernet Sauvignon, Dan and Margaret Duckhorn bucked the trend, devoting a lot of energy to Merlot as a stand-alone wine, not just as a blending grape. Three Palms was Duckhorn's first vineyard-designated Merlot back in 1978, and it has remained an age-worthy classic in their portfolio vintage after vintage. This year's cepage is 77% Merlot, 17% Cabernet franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. Though it is ten years old (at the time of this tasting n ...

1993 Matanzas Creek Sonoma Valley Merlot

93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby-red. Black cherry, black raspberry, coffee and spice on the nose. Sweetly oaky and stuffed with lush fruit. This shows more texture and depth than the regular bottling of '93 merlot, along with surprising pliancy for a red wine from this vintage. Finishes very long, with thoroughly buffered tannins. Very impressive. (ST)" (07/1998) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This fine winery has an enviable track record. Nothing that emerges from Matanzas Creek is less than excellent, with ...

1993 Cardinale Napa-Sonoma Counties Red Blend

89 points Robert Parker: "The 1993 Cardinale is a stronger effort than the 1992 and 1991. It exhibits a deeper ruby/purple color, plenty of body, excellent richness and spicy new oak. It will drink well for 15-17 years. With the last four vintages, Kendall-Jackson's Cardinale has improved immensely since the days when it was a sterile-filtered, frightfully acidic, innocuous wine that symbolized many of the worst aspects of California winemaking. All that changed in the early nineties, as this wine is no longer filtered, and any acidification is done caut ...

1993 Michel Huard Vintage Calvados (750ml)

From Charles Neal: "The Huard family have lived on the Le Pertyer property in the Suisse-Normand for five generations. Jean-Francois Guillouet, who recently took over for his retired grandfather Michel, is the seventh generation. If one were to consider the properties of Camut and Giard from the Domaine de Montreuil as the most stunning examples of hautes-tiges plantings in the Pays d'Auge, and Lemorton as the most revered property in the Domfrontais, the Huard property would have to be considered the most admired in AOC Calvados."

1993 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Ducs"
Bid on this bottle of 1993 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Ducs" (94BH, 92RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "The robe is lightening at the rim but there is no bricking. The elegant, pure, spicy and beautifully complex nose features notes of wet stone, earth and now fully secondary fruit though interestingly there is not even a hint of sous bois. The mineral-laced, intense and beautifully delineated middle weight flavors are crystalline in their purity while offering stunningly good length on the still ever-so-slightly structured but velvety backend. For my taste this still robust yet still reasonably refined effort has reached that stage where it will probably continue to soften but probably not add a great deal more in terms of overall depth. In sum, this is one of the great vintages for Clos des Ducs and while it may not be the best Ducster of all time it certainly deserves honorable mention. Tasted several times in the last few years (November 2013 was the most r

1993 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1993 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru (95BH, 95WS). Wine Spectator: "Light red. Beautiful nose, very youthful and pure. A vegetal note emerges with air. Packed with dense fruit and marked by a very firm structure of both acidity and dense tannins. The fruit is locked up right now in this massive, powerful La Tâche. Rather than open in the glass, this appears to close up, but have faith; this will be great. (BS)" (06/2006)
