2011 Bodegas Lan Edición Limitada

94 points Wine Spectator: " This rich red delivers ripe, racy flavors of blackberry, kirsch, toast, spice and mineral. Plush but dense, with subtle yet powerful tannins and tangy acidity. A big wine, showing energy and style. Drink now through 2031. (TM)" (08/2015) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Edición Limitada (or Limited Edition, you have both on the label) is a blend of Tempranillo with 12% Graciano and 8% Mazuelo aged for 15 months in barrels. With a core of black fruit aromas, it has plenty of balsamic and oak-driven notes hig ...

2011 Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone Veneto

Giuseppe Quintarelli, often called the "guru of Valpolicella" is the man behind some of the most revered wines ever to be made in Italy. The small production and high price of those wines created a near-mythical reputation around them.

2011 Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port

98 points Wine Spectator: "An elegant style, full of well-spiced, juicy flavors of raspberry, boysenberry and blueberry that extend with lively acidity and well-integrated tannins. Unctuous and succulent on the finish, which oozes with molten chocolate. Best after 2025. (KM)" (02/2014) 96 points Wine Enthusiast: "Red and black berries bring out the richness of the year, masking the seriously tannic structure. The wine has great spice, richness and a dark, smoky core of powerful tannins. For long-term aging, but delicious now. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" ( ...

2011 Brittan "Gestalt Block" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While the elderberry, blackberry and cassis evinced by Brittan’s 2011 Pinot Noir Gestalt Block preserve a vintage-typical tart edge, they’re possessed of a succulent sweetness and embedded in a more polished, downright satin-textured palate performance than was the case with the corresponding Basalt Block. Smaller clusters and berries here make for incredible density and phenolic concentration and I can feel and taste that on multiple levels, even though those facts seem to utterly belie this wine’s refined and a ...

2011 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Amoureuses"

94 points John Gilman: " The 2011 les Amoureuses from Maison Drouhin is a beautiful wine in the making, offering up a suave mélange of red and black cherries, blood orange, woodsmoke, mustard seed, gamebirds, a beautifully complex base of soil and a touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and wonderfully complex already, with a sappy core of fruit, superb transparency, suave tannins and outstanding length and grip on the bright and very elegant finish. A stunning young Amoureuses. (Drink between 2022-2050) 94+" (11/2012) 91-94 point ...

2011 Hanzell Sonoma Valley Chardonnay

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(one-third barrel-fermented): Pale straw-yellow. Aromas of apple, pear and citrus zest complemented by vanillin oak. Spicy, dense and concentrated, with harmonious acidity and solid underlying minerality giving shape to the apple and lemon fruit flavors. At once gripping and restrained on the finish, with citrus and spice flavors leaving the palate feeling refreshed. Sexy Chardonnay with aging potential. (ST)" (05/2014) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "The vineyard is in Sonoma Valley, not exactly prime ...

2011 Araujo "Alianza" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

A Napa Valley Bordeaux-blend made the Araujo way! There have been quite a few changes at Araujo since Chateau Latour purchased the property last year. One of the changes is the Alianza will not be made after this vintage, as the new owners would like 100% of their focus to be on the Eisele Cabernet. The 2011 blend includes some Eisele fruit and is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Malbec, and 5% each of Petite Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Only 500 cases were made of this little gem and this is your last chance to purchase it!

2011 Le Bon Pasteur, Pomerol

92 points James Suckling: "This is full-bodied, with gorgeous berry and chocolate character. Beautiful, velvety tannins and bright acidity. Needs two or three years to soften. The clarity of fruit is exceptional here. Try in 2016." (02/2014) 87-90 points Vinous: "Bright medium-deep red. Musky aromas of plum, blackcurrant and cedar. Juicy, sappy and stylish, combining black pepper and licorice qualities and a subtle touch of sweetness. Not a hugely concentrated wine but nicely balanced. Finishes with mounting, youthfully chewy tannins. (ID)" (05/2012) ...

2011 Sanguis "Pilgrim" Santa Ynez Valley Syrah

93 points Vinous: "Opaque ruby. A heady, flamboyant bouquet of black and blue fruit liqueur, smoky Indian spices, licorice and candied flowers, with a smoky?? element building in the glass. Smooth, sweet and expansive, offering intense cassis and blueberry flavors that deepen with aeration. Surprisingly lithe for its heft and flavor intensity, finishing with strong thrust, sappy persistence and mounting tannins. 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine that needs to be forgotten in the cellar for 5-6 years, the 2011 Syrah Patine checks in as a blend of roughly 97% Syrah and the balance Roussanne and Viognier. It too comes all from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard and saw 39 months in 63% new French oak. Backward, tight, concentrated and structured, with full-bodied richness and depth, it gives up Guigal La Landonne like aromas and flavors of graphite, sweet oak, smoked meats, pepper and black raspberry and cassis-like fruit. While it shows the vi ...

2011 Paul Hobbs "Hyde Vineyard" Carneros Pinot Noir

93 points Vinous: "One of the standouts in this range, the 2011 Pinot Noir Hyde Vineyard wraps around the palate with dark, intense fruit. Smoke, savory herbs, licorice, tobacco and spices all add complexity in a big, broad-shouldered wine loaded with class and personality. The 2011 finishes with substantial depth and structure. (AG)" (04/2014) 92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Dark ruby. Slowly opens up to display scents of dark berries, cherry-cola and mocha, with a brooding note of licorice in the background. Chewy and densely ...

2011 No Girls "La Paciencia Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the same mold, with the buzzwords being finesse and elegance, the 2011 Syrah La Paciencia Vineyard offers textbook pepper, olive tapenade, smoke and crunchy berry fruits in its medium to full-bodied, seamless and beautifully textured profile. Showing impressive complexity and already hard to resist, I-d lean towards drinking bottles over the coming decade as well. Distinctly different from both the Cayuse and Horsepower releases, winemaker Elizabeth Bourcier continues to fine-tune these No Girls releases and t ...

2011 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (Previously 130)

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 2011 Syrah Broken Stones comes from a cooler block of the James Berry Vineyard and checks in as a blend of 78% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre and 4% Petit Sirah. Relatively forward (especially when compared to the locked up Bone Rock), with fabulous purity and freshness, it exudes notions of creme de cassis, blueberry, pepper, crushed flowers and sweet oak on the nose. Full-bodied, seamless and elegant, yet with building richness and rock star length, it’s an elegant version of the cuvee to drink over the com ...

2011 Culler Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon

91 points Vinous: "Karen Culler's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, from the Cortese Vineyard in Coombsville, impresses for its silkiness and soft, supple personality. Sweet red berries, flowers, mint, anise and rose petals are woven into the gracious, generous finish. I would prefer to drink the 2011 in its youth, while the fruit retains its juiciness. Sweet floral, spice and raspberry notes add lift on the finish. (AG)" (11/2013)

2011 TOR Kenward "Tierra Roja" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

96 points James Suckling: "This is gorgeous wine with terracotta, roses, light iron and strawberries. Very perfumed. Full body with super-integrated tannins and a long, long, bright finish. From a favorite vineyard. Drink now or hold." (05/2014) 94 points Vinous: "Tor's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Tierra Roja Vineyard will challenge readers' perceptions about the year. It boasts striking depth and intensity supported by beams of minerality. Constantly changing in the glass, the 2011 Tierra Roja is dark, powerful and built for cellaring. The impeccable, pol ...

2011 Camparo "Boiolo" Barolo

Jancis Robinson: "Mid ruby with a narrow, orange rim. Balsamic oak and spice and subdued fruit on the nose. Supple and ripe palate with a broad, tannic finish. Not overtly complex, but does the job. Drink through 2028. (WS)" (06/2015) Wine Enthusiast: "Aromas of toast, oak, espresso and a whiff of rubber lead the nose and carry over to the firm palate, along with dried black cherry and oak driven spice. It's still tightly wound, with an astringent finish. Give it another year or two for the tannins to unclench. (K0)" (02/2016)

2011 Far Niente "Dolce" Napa Valley Dessert Wine (375ml)

Dolce is Napa's ultimate Sauternes-style dessert wine, with its noble botrytis underpinning and joyful acidity. A combination of late harvest Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc from a 20-acre estate vineyard in the temperate town of Coombsville, the vineyard is naturally sheltered from the wind so that the morning fog and natural humidity lingers to allow botrytis to take hold on the grape clusters. The luxurious Sauternes style is completed by 32 months in new French oak before bottling. The wine will pair well with foie gras, poached figs, blue or washed-rin ...

2011 Calera "Selleck" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Selleck is a brilliant 2011 that does everything right. Framboise, rose petal, sappy underbrush and spice all give way to an energetic, taut and vibrant-styled Pinot that has perfect balance and fine tannin structure. Fermented with 100% whole cluster and aged 18 months in 30% new French oak, it’s a rocking effort to enjoy over the coming 5-7 years. Don't miss this. Classic Napa Cabernet. Better in 2017 but so refined and enchanting now. " (05/2014) 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Paul Hobbs coaxes beautifully classic Cab aromas and textures from this wine, which comes from the tricky 2011 vintage. 2011 Hanzell Sonoma Valley Pinot Noir

Wine Enthusiast: "Hanzell took on a new barrel regime with the 2011 vintage, opening the door to several different coopers to taste over time. Additionally in 2011, the Pinot grapes came from both the Sessions and de Brye vineyards. The wine is marked by a bouquet of baked strawberry and cherry, the layers interwoven in oak and dust. Stains the palate with vibrant black raspberry and cherry-cola flavors and picks up a smoky nuance with air. Shows impressive vivacity on the finish, which features silky tannins and a touch of candied rose. 2011 Sanguis "Mule" Santa Barbara County Red Blend

Dense blackcurrant and blueberry flavors are given lift and cut by smoky minerals, showing a suave, floral pastille nuance on the back half. Brawny and concentrated for sure, but there's energy here as well. Closes broad and chewy, with repeating smokiness and dusty tannins that contribute shape and grip. 2011 Vineyard 29 "29 Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship offering is the Cabernet Sauvignon 29 Estate. The deep ruby/purple-tinged 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon 29 Estate, a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, is a lighter-styled, but charming effort displaying hints of tobacco leaf, red and black currant fruit, spring flowers, spice box and loamy soil. 2011 Turley "Zampatti" Sonoma County Zinfandel

91 points Vinous: "The 2011 Zinfandel Zampatti Vineyard, from a parcel planted in 1915, is dense, compact and not fully expressive today. Dark red cherry, plum, spices and menthol notes emerge over time, but the 2011 needs another year or two to fully come together. Still, because of the cool vintage, I expect the Zampatti will always be a bit linear in style." (11/2013) Wine Spectator: "Big and a bit blowsy, this still seems to be coming together. Berry cobbler, underbrush and jalapeño aromas lead to ripe baked cherry and charred spice flavors. Drink ...

So attractive now but will improve for many years to come. 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Cabernet Franc. This is the first vintage." (05/2014) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Peter Michael’s newest offering, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Au Paradis, is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Cabernet Franc, the latter coming from the great red soil ...

2011 Fairchild Estate "Sigaro Vineyard" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (torn label)

94 points Vinous: "Fairchild's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Sigaro is drop-dead gorgeous. Grilled herbs, smoke, tobacco, licorice and menthol are all woven together in a silky, impeccably polished Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2011 stands out for its pure textural elegance and class. Sweet raspberries, mint and wild flowers linger on a perfumed, fragrant finish that turns increasingly savory and complex over time. This is a fabulous showing for the year. Larry Fairchild purchased his Sigaro vineyard in 1999. There are two plantings; the original 1 acre parcel, and ...
