2017 Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port 6-pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

98-100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Vintage Port, not quite bottled when seen but the final blend, is a field blend aged for approximately 20 months in wood. It comes in with 100 grams of residual sugar. A step up (or two) on the 2016, this shows fine depth, more focus, vivid fruit and serious power. It's not particularly thick, austere or astringent, but this is built for the long haul. It is potentially a great Taylor's, effortlessly combining brilliant fruit and structure. It tastes great now (today, it is far more vivid than its Vi ...

2017 Dow´s Vintage Port 6-pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

98 points James Suckling: "Pure grape aromas that remind me of fermenting must but then goes to stems and dried flowers. Full-bodied, medium sweet with fine-grained tannins that coat your palate. Powerful and muscular yet remains agile and beautiful. Grows on your palate. Wonderful ripe fruit in the middle palate. Try after 2030. (JS)" (05/2019) 98 points Vinous: "The 2017 Dow’s Vintage Port showed a slight reduction and required more time to really open in the glass. Typical of Dow’s it has a more backward and introspective bouquet compared to its pee ...

2017 Fonseca Vintage Port 6-pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

96-98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Vintage Port, not quite bottled when seen but the final blend, is a field blend (with typical grapes like Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca) aged for approximately 20 months in used French oak. It comes in with 98 grams of residual sugar, a little drier on paper than its Taylor sibling this year. Sappy and sensational in flavor and fruit, this seemingly has moderate tannins around the edges on first taste, velvety texture and a long finish. Despite the first ...

2017 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port 6-pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

97 points James Suckling: "Big grip in this wine with dark blackberries, blueberries and floral notes. Fine tannins. Ripe but sweet and pretty. Shows a lovely finish. Try after 2027. (JS)" (05/2019) 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Vintage Port is a field blend, mostly Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão and Sousão, aged for 18 months in old wood vats. It comes in with 99 grams of residual sugar. This was bottled in May 2019, about a month before tasting, but I made sure at least some of it had a lot of air. Aromatic, wonderfu ...

2017 Graham's Vintage Port 6-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

98 points Decanter: "Based on Touriga Franca from south-facing slopes at Quinta dos Malvedos, with Touriga Nacional from quintas Vila Velha and Vale de Mealhadas (both predominantly north-facing), topped out with fruit from old vines at Quinta da Tua and 10% Sousão. It's a very deep blue-black colour with an expressive, super-ripe nose of plum, mint and bergamot which springs from the glass. The palate is rich, velvety and voluptuous in typical Graham’s style. The initial richness makes the tannins, which show up on the ripe, broad, mouthwatering finish. ...

2017 Suduiraut, Sauternes (Pre-Arrival)

97-98 points James Suckling: "What a crazy Sauternes. The density and sweetness are amazing, yet at the same time it’s fresh and bright with an inspirational energy and dryness at the end. Phenolic and textured. " (04/2018) 95-97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the finest Sauternes I was able to taste for this report was the 2017 Château Suduiraut, from an estate that was unaffected by the April frost. A rockstar blend of 94% Sémillon and 6% Sauvignon, aged in 50% new oak, it boasts a big, thrilling bouquet of orange blossom, honeysuckle, and pure botrytis ...

2017 Doisy-Daëne, Sauternes (375ml) (Pre-Arrival)

93-97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Château Doisy Daëne is a seriously decadent, thick, opulent beauty that packs serious sweetness in its canned peach, lime peel, and exotic tropical fruit aromas and flavors. While it’s a big wine, it has terrific balance, good density and concentration, and a huge finish. It’s a potential blockbuster Barsac that’s going to have a long life." (04/2018) 93-96 points Vinous: "A wine of real density and weight, the 2017 Doisy-Daëne is positively stunning. It is also likely to require a number of years to be at its best, ...

2017 Coutet, Sauternes (Pre-Arrival)

95-97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The 2017 Coutet has lovely notions of spice cake, fresh ginger and honeysuckle over a core of lemon curd, beeswax and preserved peaches. Rich, spicy and quite decadent in the mouth, it has wonderful freshness and depth, finishing very long. (LPB)" (04/2018) 95-97 points Wine Enthusiast: "This wine shows great balance and poised elegance.
