1998 Cape d'Estaing "Admiral's Reserve" Shiraz Kangaroo Island South Australia (1.5L)

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1998 Shiraz Admiral's Reserve is essentially a 125-case batch selected in the cellar from all the barrels of Shiraz. The wine has an opaque purple color and a sweet nose of blackberry liqueur intermixed with road tar, new saddle leather, pepper, and spice. Full-bodied, rich, structured, and backward, this impressive, large-scaled wine admirably marries a degree of finesse with the boldly flavored, big style favored by Australians. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2016. (RP)" (06/2001)

2015 Torbreck "RunRig" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (1.5L) (Pre-Arrival)

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Who would've thought that in the context of Barossa Shiraz, the 2015 RunRig would seem like a relative bargain? It's certainly much less expensive than Grange or Hill of Grace will be when they're released. It's also more approachable in its youth, with enormously appealing aromas of grilled fruit, savory complexities and rich, velvety tannins. Of course, it's full-bodied and concentrated, with the stuffing to age for up to a couple of decades, and it has a long, licorice-tinged finish. Winemaker Ian Hongell, who ...

2013 Torbreck "RunRig" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (1.5L) (Pre-Arrival)

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2013 RunRig has a tantalizingly exotic nose of cloves, fenugreek, star anise and cassia with a core of mulberries, baked blackberries and blueberry preserves plus hints of potpourri and dusty earth. The full-bodied palate is multilayered with tons of spices and berry preserves notes, supported by firm yet velvety tannins and finishing with incredible length and depth. This is a very impressive RunRig. (LPB) 98+" (06/2016) 97 points James Suckling: "A phenomenal nose to this with ...

2005 Penfolds "St. Henri" Shiraz South Australia (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2005 Penfolds "St. Henri" Shiraz South Australia (1.5L) (94JD, 92ST, 90RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Only slightly behind the RWT, the 2005 Penfolds Shiraz St. Henri comes from vineyards throughout South Australia and as opposed to the RWT (which is aged in French oak, some new), is aged all in larger wooded vats for 16 months prior to bottling. Beautifully aromatics and complex, with a slightly cooler climate feel than the RWT, it possesses loads of peppered dark fruits, eucalyptus, bacon fat, wild herbs, and hints of chocolate on the nose. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, with a layered, voluptuous mouth feel, superb freshness, and still kicking, yet ripe tannin, this absolutely first-rate Aussie Shiraz benefits from a decant (it was even better on the second day), and will continue to shine for upwards of another decade. 94+" (06/2012)

2010 Torbreck "The Laird" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (1.5L) (Pre-Arrival)

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Very deep purple-black colored, Torbreck's 2010 The Laird offers an extraordinary perfume of Chinese five spice, sandalwood, rose petals, espresso and licorice over a core of prunes, dried mulberries and blackcurrant preserves plus a touch of cloves. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated and packed with dried black fruits and exotic spice flavors, the generous fruit is structured with velvety tannins and just enough freshness. It finishes with commendable persistence. (LPB) 98+" (06/2015) 94 points Wine Spectator: "B ...

2008 Torbreck "The Laird" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (1.5L) (Pre-Arrival)

100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2008 The Laird is a little restrained to begin, opening out after a few moments and much coaxing to an extraordinary array of creme de cassis and black plum-based aromas with underlying chocolate box, licorice, exotic spice, oolong tea and clove hints with a touch of earthy loam. Richly textured, dense and with a provocative meaty/earthy/savory, the palate is complex and layered revealing menthol and ripe black fruit notes interplaying with firm, velvety tannins through to a very ...
