Top Pick!
2009 Alexandre Le Brun "Cuvée Dilection" Brut Rosé Champagne (Previously $80)

Alexandre Le Brun is a young winemaker from Monthelon in the Ardenne (Marne) region of Champagne. He is a ninth-generation winemaker. His family established themselves in Champagne in 1750, and their cellars were built in 1822. The delectable Dilection is based on the incredible 2009 vintage with 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier. Only French oak is used and the vineyard where the grapes are sourced was planted in 1902. It is rich, but classically dry with dark cherry and strawberry fruit on the finish, which lingers.

2010 En Tirage Extra Brut Blanc de Blanc Carneros Sparkling Wine

A particularly rare California sparkling wine produced by Don Baumhefner who had been inspired by late disgorged Bollinger to let his wines rest "en tirage" for years. The San Francisco Chronicle's Esther Mobley fell in love with Baumhefner's 1992 and was excited to report in December 2017 that he had released another wine he discovered in Lake County that had come from a vineyard in Carneros. Mobley writes: "The 2010 Blanc de Blancs smells heady, wafting sweet bread dough. It’s rich, nutty and creamy, and more direct than Baumhefner’s 1990 and 1992 vint ...

Billecart-Salmon Brut Champagne Nebuchadnezzar (15L) Cannot Ship (Previously $2100)

92 points James Suckling: "This has impressive ripe stone fruits on the nose with peaches, mangoes, melon and cherries. Really upbeat and attractive purity. The palate follows the same thread of fruit characters with a clever balance of flesh and crunch, a bright finish and good balance. Drink now. A blend of roughly equal thirds of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier." (10/2016) 91 points Wine Spectator: "This bright Champagne is sleek and mouthwatering, with tightly knit flavors of glazed apricot, biscuit, nectarine and verbena. Clean-cut and la ...

2008 Agusti Torelló Mata "Kripta" Cava Brut Penedes (Previously $90)

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The current vintage of the special cuvée is the 2008 Kripta, a classical blend of the local grapes Macabeo, Xarello and Parellada aged in contact with the lees in bottle for a long time, no less than five years, during which time the bottle is closed with a cork (it's usually a crown stopper). Apparently this gives the wine a different character and is the way it was traditionally done. This is a polished Cava with yeast and brioche aromas and a soft palate with clean, developed flavors and integrated acidity. A ...

2007 Lanson "Clos Lanson" Brut Champagne (Previously $200)

97 points Wine Enthusiast: "Produced from a small walled vineyard close to the Lanson winery in Reims, this is a splendid wine. Its richness is balanced by the intense freshness and minerality of the Chardonnay, with apple and citrus flavors that still in the background. Now mature, this wine is ready to drink. *Editors’ Choice* (RV)" (12/2018) 94 points John Gilman: "The 2007 Clos Lanson was disgorged in July of 2016, after more than eight years aging sur latte. This is the second iteration of this bottling to be released, made from a tiny parcel of v ...

2013 Gusbourne Estate "Brut Rosé" Kent England (Previously $65)

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Freshly cut peel of tart but ripe red apple entices on the nose. The palate embraces all this with the subtle, creamy richness of autolysis: Think shortcake and soft sponge. A luminous core of fresh, brisk acidity brightens everything, lifting up flavors of red apple, strawberry and tart red currant on the palate. This harmonious rosé leaves a lasting impression and is appetizing with its lightning streak of freshness. (AK)" (12/2017) K&L Notes: Winemaker's notes: "100% Pinot Noir. With a delicate salmon pink colour, this wi ...
