2009 Palmer, Margaux (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

99 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2009 Palmer is unquestionably one of the greatest young Bordeaux I’ve tasted, and it has a rare mix of richness and elegance that’s incredible. Blackcurrants, violets, lead pencil shavings and a touch of minerality all emerge from this rich, massively concentrated Margaux that still glides across the palate with no sense of weight or heaviness. It’s perfectly balanced, has a ripe, hedonistic core of fruit, as well as integrated acidity. It’s a dream today, but is going to have 30-40 years or more of prime drinking." (12/2017) ...

2018 Cheval Blanc, St-Émilion (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

98-100 points Decanter: "This is a wonderful, fairly classic Cheval Blanc, less exuberant than some of the wines that you're going to find in 2018. It's full of intense red and black berries, floral notes, and a ton of menthol, eucalyptus and liquorice which underpins the entire concentrated fruit expression. Silky tannins slowly layer up over the palate. It's full of focus and extremely elegant but it accelerates through the mid-palate, gathering strength as it goes. I love this wine in so many vintages, and they have done it again in 2018. (JA)" (04/20 ...

2009 Providence, Pomerol (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

95 points James Suckling: "A wine with a deep nose of blueberries, blackberries, dark chocolate, nutmeg and vanilla bean. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a beautiful depth of fruit. Very attractive texture to this wine. " (02/2012) 95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Densely fruity wine, all sweetness and richness without too much weight. It does have power, a dark core, but it is the sweet balance that is so attractive. There is a layer of acidity as well, giving freshness to the final character of the wine. (RV)" (02/2012) 94 points Wine Spectator: " ...

2015 Domaine Leflaive Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Pucelles" (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

93-96 points Wine Spectator: "No tasting note given. " (02/2017) 92-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "In contrast to the relative expressiveness of most of the prior wines, this is much more reserved and only grudgingly reveals its aromas of honeysuckle, essence of pear and soft oak nuances. The caressing and very refined middle weight flavors possess a highly seductive mouth feel that also brims with dry extract while delivering excellent length on the beautifully complex and persistent finale that, like the Combettes, is unusually dry relative to ...

2005 Ausone, St-Emilion (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Ausone is a perfect wine of the vintage. It displays crushed rock, spring flowers, blueberry and blackberry fruit, a full-bodied mouthfeel, stunning purity and richness, and perfect harmony among all of its component parts (acidity, tannin, wood, alcohol and extract). Still youthful, but oh, so promising, this wine should be set aside for another decade and drunk over the following 50-75 years. (RP)" (06/2015) 100 points Wine Spectator: "I love the tobacco, berry, cigar box, toasty oak, ripe fruit and ...

2010 Domaine Eugenie Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (1.5) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Discreet wood sets off the ripe, dense and quite elegant black cherry aromas that are layered with notes of earth and floral nuances. This is also impressively complex with wonderfully rich, intense and well-structured big-bodied flavors that brim with an abundance of dry extract on the mouth coating, balanced, long and extremely serious finish. One difference between this and many youthful examples of the appellation is that there is almost no austerity present on the vibrant backend though that may change as the ba ...

2009 Louis Jadot Clos de la Roche Grand Cru (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

92-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Clos de la Roche comes across as big, powerful and a touch heavy-handed. This shows tons of richness and depth but lacks the sheer excitement of the estate's finest wines. The Clos de la Roche is made from purchased wine. (AG)" (05/2011) 91-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A beautifully complex and overtly sauvage nose speaks of plum, red currant and red berry liqueur nuances that introduce delicious, round and quite supple middle weight flavors that possess reasonably good concentration, all w ...

2010 Providence, Pomerol (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

95 points James Suckling: "Great nose with wild strawberries and raspberries. Some blueberry and violets. Opens up with fresh leather and chocolate. Full-bodied and very well put together with super silky tannins and great vibrant finish. Drinks really well already now and difficult to wait! Try after 2018." (02/2013) 95 points Wine Spectator: "This is packed with fruit, but maintains a restrained feel overall, as the core of plum, blackberry and black currant seems content to wait for now. Richly layered, displaying seamless graphite and black tea not ...

2005 Trotanoy, Pomerol (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

96 points John Gilman: "Ironically, as Trotanoy is one of my personal favorites in all of Bordeaux, I had never had the opportunity to cross paths with the 2005 Château Trotanoy prior to the Wine Workshop tasting. This is destined to be a great vintage of Trot, which I have little doubt will end up superior to the more muscular 2010 that seems to have caught the imagination of so many commentators. The combination of ripeness and outstanding acidity that is found in the very best 2005s is very rare, and these qualities are certainly on display in this ve ...

2010 Delas Freres "Domaine des Tourettes" Hermitage (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes I have ever tasted is the 2010, which comes close to rivaling their prodigious 2009. A wine of great intensity, it possesses an inky/purple color, plenty of creme de cassis, licorice, lead pencil shavings, camphor, flint and barbecue smoke characteristics, and a thickness and viscosity that eclipse that of the 2009. Full-bodied and powerful with sweet tannins, a striking floral/mineral component in the mid-palate, and a huge, massive finish, this brilliant Hermita ...

2015 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée da Capo" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The tiny production 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Da Capo is a powerhouse and unquestionably one of the top wines in the vintage. Compared to the 2010 by Laurence, it offers a stacked, full-bodied, incredibly concentrated feel as well as a blockbuster bouquet of blackcurrants, tapenade, cured meats, garrigue, and assorted Provençal street market-like aromas and flavors. It doesn’t have the sheer volume or flamboyant character of the 2016 (which I think is a better wine) but is deep, straight, and as classic as it gets. Hide bottl ...

2005 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (1.5L) 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

100 points Decanter: "This stunning wine is still extremely young, with an amazingly expressive nose with tea leaf hints. The aromatics keep building and building in the glass, and the elegance and persistency shine through. This was a drought year, unusual because it was almost perfect from beginning to end with not a drop of rain from May to October. Temperatures were not hot like 2003, of course, so the ripening was slow and complete, with relatively small yields and relatively high alcohol. This is full of energy and the flavours just keep on going, ...
