92 points Wine & Spirits: "A selection of Riesling named for the estate’s founder, this grows on clay-limestone soils, mostly around the village of Eguisheim. It’s a rich wine with enough limestone abrasion to the acidity that it feels clean and fresh, the generously concentrated flavors of lemon and golden apple edged with bitter notes of quinine, dandelion greens and lemon zest. Tingling with energy." (04/2018) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Delightful peachy notes define the fruity friendly nose. The palate adds zesty lemon to this rich fruit to create...

Importer's notes: "The Crnko farm is located on the eastern side of Slovenia, north of Maribor and just south of the Austrian border. It is a breath taking environment of endless rolling green hills lined with vineyards that stretch the length of the horizon. Until 1918, this area was known as Lower Styria (formally Austria) and had been for many centuries. Grapes have also been cultivated here for over 2,000 years in addition to famed aromatic hop fields and ethereal pumpkin seed oil; a real treat with the local wines. The rich agricultural diversity of...

Highly acclaimed producers of single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Thomas Fogarty and his head winemaker Nathan Kandler also craft one of the most outstanding domestic sparkling wines on the market today. The "Estate" Blanc de Blanc is 100% Chardonnay sourced in nearly equal proportions from the Portola Springs and Langley Hill vineyards, two of the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA's most prized sites. The cool, maritime climate and high elevation (1,900 ft. on average) are ideal for producing a vivid, racy, and structured sparkling wine with the capacity ...

From the importer: "The Tendre is made from 100% Chenin Blanc from flint soils in Reugny rather than the more typical tuffeau soils one finds further to the south and west in Vouvray. Harvest by hand and rigorously sorted at the cellar, the grapes are pressed and ferment spontaneously in tank. With a small amount of residual sugar, just too much to be called sec and far too little to be classified as a demi-sec, the Tendre is a versatile wine at the table as you would no doubt experience should you visit the Viking."

Notes from winemaker Charlie Wagner: "We farm coastal vineyards with ideal conditions for white varietals. Our blend includes Pinot Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Chardonnay, Muscat Canelli and Viognier. It has a delicate nose, fine bubbles and a delightful lightness. Perfect for celebrations of all kinds."

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" ((97-98RP), (96-97ST), 95BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Raveneau’s 2007 Chablis Les Clos is less severe, intractably dense, or obdurately stony than most of the vintage’s representations of this great site, being at once electrically energized and practically ethereal in its high-toned expressions of bitter-sweet floral and pit fruit distillates, citrus zest, white truffle, quarry dust, and ocean breezes. Luscious grapefruit and white peach seem to be mingled with a sea water reduction on the palate, leading to a finish that tugs relentlessly at the salivary glands and practically seems to suck blood from your gums, all the while displaying buoyancy that defies gravity. This is magical. If lucky enough to acquire multiple bottles, I would plan to stretch out the experience of them over at least a dozen years. (DS)" (12/2009)
