2017 Roberto Henriquez "Rivera Del Notro" Bio Bio Tinto (Previously $24)

Concepción native Roberto Henriquez is one of the leaders in the small, but growing, insurgency of southern Chilean winemakers making bright, very low alcohol, minimal intervention wines from indigenous grape varieties in areas such as Itata, Maule, what is occasionally referred to as the Secano Interior and Bio Bio. 2017 Montsecano "Migrante" Malbec Pinot Noir Casablanca Valley (Previously $24)

The Migrante is a uniquely South American blend, 70% Malbec and 30% Pinot Noir, produced from a single 0.9-hectare vineyard and vinified with native yeasts. Aged for 10 to 11 months in concrete before bottling, the wine displays deep black fruit and herbal notes typical of Malbec with a lithe, supple structure thanks to the Pinot Noir component of the blend. They planted 4 hectares of Pinot Noir in las ...

2015 Vina Gonzalez Bastias "Pais en Tinaja" Maule Valley (Previously $25)

Located in the western Maule Valley, in the midst of Chile's coastal range, so far removed from any city that the only way to arrive is via a slow train (top speed 20 mph!) and a canoe trip across the Maule River! Needless to say, viticulture on this special 4 hectare vineyard is organic, with biodynamic preparations made on site. The vines are primarily 200 year old (you read that correctly, 200 years old!) Mission vines, with a smattering of very old (but slightly less old) Moscatel Negra. Following harvest, this wine is literally hand pressed. Hands a ...
