2005 Château de Beaucastel "Vieilles Vignes" Roussanne Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc

96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the best whites I’ve had in some time, the 2005 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Cuvée Roussanne Vieilles Vignes is a 100% Roussanne that sees half in tank and half in barrel. While it starts out tight, it blossoms with air, showing perfectly ripe fruit, medium to full body, an unctuous yet light texture and a blockbuster finish. This is still fresh and vibrant but I hesitate to give drinking windows given the propensity for this to shut down. There’s no harm in drinking one of these now though!" (05/2010) ...

2005 Nickel & Nickel "Medina Vineyard" Russian River Chardonnay

Medina Vineyard Chardonnay shows lovely fruit that is complemented by subtle floral notes. Flavors of pear and lemon are expressive upon entry and build with layers of sweet, toasty oak that expands into a nice, creamy texture. The natural crisp acidity adds liveliness to the palate and enhances the fruit flavors, which carry through to a long, persistent finish.

2005 Hexamer Meddersheimer Altenberg Riesling Spatlese Trocken

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted in January 2018, the 2005 Nahe Riesling Spätlese Trocken Meddersheimer Altenberg has a clear and matured bouquet, with ripe stone fruit and rather green walnut aromas that represent the richness of the 2005 vintage. The attack on the palate is quite fresh and elegant, and the medium to full-bodied wine has good concentration but a somewhat bitter and astringent finish. Its nice salinity and caramel touch make it a good choice for rich fish dishes like codfish. (SR)" (02/2018)

2005 Domaine Weinbach Gewürztraminer Altenbourg "Cuvée Laurence"

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Weinbach 2005 Gewurztraminer Altenbourg Cuvee Laurence is powerfully honey- and brown spice-scented, rich, creamy, and honeyed on the palate with a mysterious depth of saline, iodine, and otherwise savory minerality, and finishes with another for this variety amazing display of honeyed, malted richness combined with refreshment and genuine delicacy, its 45 grams of residual sugar tasting like half as much thanks to sheer freshness and extract. This tour de force should not falter over the next two decades. (D ...

2005 Arrowood "Hoot Owl Creek Vineyards - Special Select Late Harvest" Alexander Valley Riesling (375ml)

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 White Riesling Special Select Late Harvest Hoot Owl Creek Vineyards was remarkable, moving toward a Beerenauslese style, with oodles of honeysuckle, a golden color, and syrupy, viscous pineapple, caramelized apricot and peach-like notes. It was gorgeously rich and decadent, but possessed great acidity. It should drink well for at least another 20 years. We finished with one of Dick Arrowood’s very famous specialities, demonstrating his brilliant touch in making Auslese, Beerenauslese, and occasionally Tr ...

2005 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2005 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L) (97BH, 97RP, 97WS, 95ST, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "When you happen upon a pristine bottle of Leflaive's 2005 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, it's a terrific wine that clearly rans among the white Burgundies of the vintage, and this was just such a bottle. Offering up a stunning bouquet of confit lemons, honeycomb, vine blossom and freshly baked bread, it's full-bodied, ample and multidimensional, with incredible concentration, a firm chassis of structuring dry extract, lively acids and a long finish that still displays considerable youthful drive. This is a muscular, imposing Chevalier that nods to the 1989 vintage in style, though if anything it's better balanced. Today, while it's still a youthful wine, it's beginning to arrive at early maturity, and it's as pleasurable as it is impressive. Sadly, however, I have encountered oxidized bottles of the 2005, and this perfect example only made t

2005 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Pucelles"
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Pucelles" (96W&S, 94JG, 93BH, 93WS, 92RP, 92ST). Wine & Spirits: "The domaine owns three parcels (7.56 acres) of Les Pucelles, which borders Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues- Bâtard-Montrachet. More than half of it was planted prior to 1969, the oldest vines dating to 1954. This is both subtler and more explosive than Clavoillon, its pear and honeysuckle perfume recalling the work of the bees among the vines. That classical buzz infuses the architectural power of the wine, a grand mineral structure embedded in the fruit itself. The beautiful scent and luscious texture should be reaching their peak eight to ten years from the vintage." (12/2007)

2005 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "La Sève du Clos"
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "La Sève du Clos" (96JG, (91-93BH), 93ST). John Gilman: "This is the very old vine bottling from Monsieur Ente’s parcel in en l’Ormeau, with the vines now over one hundred years of age. I was very intrigued that he decided to serve this next in the lineup, as this is normally the last Meursault served, but he explained that he wanted to continue with the same terroir in the progression. This has typically been his best wine year in and year out, and the 2007 is pure magic. The bouquet is flat out brilliant, as it explodes from the glass in a haze of iodine, orange, passion fruit, lime zest, kaleidoscopic minerality, a touch of hazelnut, spring flowers and perhaps somewhere in all these aromatic fireworks there is a touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and backward, with a rock solid core of fruit, an unbelievable blade of minerality, and stunning length and grip on the racy, tensile and laser-like finish
