2014 Hammell Wine Alliance "True Believer" Rhône Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2014 Hammell Wine Alliance "True Believer" Rhône Blend (1.5L) (95JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "A small step back from the total mind-blowing 2013, the 220-case 2014 True Believer is still incredible stuff and checks in as a blend of 51% Grenache, 27% Syrah, 11% Mourvèdre, 8% Petite Sirah and the rest Viognier and Roussanne. This deep ruby/purple colored beauty offers tons of ripe blackberry, currants, smoked herbs, pepper and melted licorice-like aromatics. Deep, sumptuous and decadent on the palate, with low acidity, it stays light on its feet and graceful, and certainly delivers loads of pleasure. Drink this blockbuster style beauty anytime over the coming decade or more." (08/2017)

2013 Pharaohmoans "WestSide" Paso Robles Red Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Pharaohmoans "WestSide" Paso Robles Red Blend (93ST, 93VN, 90WS). Vinous: "Inky purple. Complex aromas of blackberry, incense, smoky minerals and Indian spices. Displays an array of black and blue fruit and floral pastille flavors that show unlikely energy for the wine's depth and power. Picks up allspice and anise nuances with air, along with a suggestion of vanilla. Finishes with superb smoky persistence, with smooth tannins making a late appearance. (JR)" (09/2015)

Of the 2011 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah,Vinous writes: "The 2011 Bone Rock is the wine where all of the Saxum signatures intersect with the personality of the year to the fullest. A healthy dollop of Roussanne gives the Bone Rock extraordinary aromatic lift and nuance to balance the intense varietal fruit. Layers of dark plums, sage, rose petal, tobacco, new leather and spice blossom in an extraordinary wine of precision, power and depth. Expressive floral notes are woven throughout, adding to the wine's beguiling, complex personality. This is a fabulous showing from Saxum made all the more notable by the challenges of the year. 2011 Buccella "Mixed Blacks" Amador County Red Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Buccella "Mixed Blacks" Amador County Red Blend. From the producer: "For some time now, we have shared a love of Rhone Valley blends and their domestic counterparts. We wanted to experiment with some completely different varietals by putting our California twist on the beautiful interplay between the bright fruit and mineral characteristics of these blends while still maintaining the rich, fruit focused, layered lusciousness we enjoy. We are fortunate to be working with fruit from the exceptional Shake Ridge Vineyard in Amador County. It is a fantastically well-managed site with a diverse soil composition, producing a wine with an incredible flavor profile and depth."

2003 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée Reservée" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée Reservée" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (99JD, 98RP, 97WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Close to my 12th bottle of the 2003 Domaine du Pégaü Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée and this was one of the more tight and compact bottles. The aromas are dense and pure with stunning cassis and dark fruit intermixed with licorice, meat and leather notes. The palate is full bodied, amazingly tannic and structured with gorgeous fruit, texture and length. If I had to pick just one wine to drink, this would be it. Drink now-2028 (JebDunnuck.com)" (11/2008)

2010 Domaine de la Côte de L'Ange "Vieilles Vignes" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine de la Côte de L'Ange "Vieilles Vignes" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 94JD, 94WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "If you can find any, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes, which comes from nearly 80-year-old vines planted in sandy and limestone soils, is a blend of 85% Grenache aged in foudres and 15% Mourvedre aged in small oak casks. The 2007 version of this wine is prodigious, but this is close and may even eclipse that wine, but time will be the final arbiter. Dense purple, with a full-bodied mouthfeel, loads of blackberry fruit, intense kirsch, oodles of licorice, lavender, and garrigue notes, this is layered, sumptuous, full-throttle wine with good acidity, sweet, moderate tannin, and a skyscraper-like mouthfeel and finish. Drink this sensational wine over the next 20-25 years. It is one of the great wines of the vintage. (RP) " (10/2012)
