2015 Château de Bellet "Baron G" Bellet Blanc (Previously $45)

Situated on the hills above Nice, Chateau de Bellet was part of a baronial estate established in 1777. Today, a historic chapel sits at the heart of a modern winery that has produced many notable wines including the "Baron G" blanc that was served at the royal wedding of Prince Albert II, Prince of Monaco, to Charlene Wittstock. According to the winery, the wine is more than 90% Rolle with the rest Chardonnay and pale gold in color with fragrant notes of cedar and bergamot and flavors of honey and grapefruit followed by a bright and savory finish.

A beautiful terroir skillfully worked by Jérôme Paret and Philippe Garnier. Responding to the call of his parents, Jérômine gave up a career as an English teacher to take over the family estate. She then studied business and allied herself with Philippe Garnier, who has one goal in mind: to achieve excellence. She does not regret her choices today and her customers don't either! Thus, the estate evolves each year with new wines and techniques.

2016 Château de Bellet Bellet Blanc (Previously $30)

Situated on the hills above Nice, Chateau de Bellet was part of a baronial estate established in 1777. Today, a historic chapel sits at the heart of a modern winery that has produced many notable wines. This estate white is produced from a 3.2-hectare parcel of Vermentino vines which average 30 years old and produce very limited yields of high-quality, organically grown grapes. The wine is citric and floral in tone with the grapes macerated at cold temperatures and the wine fermented and aged for 10 months in 500-liter oak barrels.
