2017 Domaine les Pins "Les Rochettes" Bourgueil Rosé (Previously $13)

Wine Enthusiast: "Made from Cabernet Franc, this rich, textured and structured wine is full and rounded. It has perfumed flavors, a touch of caramel and plenty of balanced acidity. (RV)" (09/2018) Wine Spectator: "This sports a fresh and open-knit profile of white cherry and strawberry core flavors, with a light mineral edge adding cut on the finish. (JM)" (06/2018) K&L Notes: Domaine les Pins sits in the heart of Bourgueil. It is an area that is lately garnering attention for the quality of their Cabernet Franc-based red wines. There is also a more ...

2017 Marrenon "Roséfine" Luberon Rosé (Previously $12)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 75% Syrah and 25% Grenache, the 2017 Luberon Rose Rosefine slots in qualitatively between Marrenon's Classique and Petula bottlings. Hints of peach, cantaloupe and strawberries appear on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate picks up citrusy notes that linger on the finish. (JC)" (06/2018) Wine Enthusiast: "Pristine wild strawberry and watermelon notes introduce this penetrating, Syrah-dominated rosé. Full bodied and dry, it offers succulent raspberry flavors accented by fresh herb and violet hints. Bright ...

2017 Waterkloof Circumstance "Cape Coral" Mourvèdre Rosé Stellenbosch (Biodynamic) (Previously $17)

A perennial staff and customer favorite at K&L, this is one of our best-selling and most-raved-about rosés every year. Hand-picked from biodynamically farmed, old Mourvèdre vines in a cool coastal sub-region of Stellenbosch, it's a fresh, elegant wine that does a fantastic impression of Bandol (which is also predominantly made from Mourvèdre), but at a fraction of the cost! Waterkloof is a stunning property working with very natural, non-interventionist methods. The wines are pure, expressive, and precisely balanced. I am excited to work with Waterkloof ...

2017 Chateau de L'Ou Côtes de Roussillon Rosé (Previously $17)

Jancis Robinson: "Wild-salmon colour. Orange liqueur tinted through nose and palate with a dry, tangy goji-berry flavour, somewhere between sweet and earthy. Touch garrigue and pink-peppercorn spiciness tucked deep inside the core. A bit wild. A wine that would go well with rustic charcuterie and home-smoked fish. (TC)" (10/2018) K&L Notes: Séverine Bourrier came to winemaking through her own passion for the subject, not having the family history associated with so many winemakers. She studied oenology in school and worked in Bordeaux for a decade. Aft ...

2016 Domaine des Lambrays Bourgogne Rosé "La Rose du Clos" Rose (Previously $40)

Allen Meadows provides the following update for Domaine des Lambrays: "There will soon be a changing of the guard at this iconic domaine as long-time regisseur (resident manager) Thierry Brouin, who has held this post since 1980, will cede the position as of April 2018 to Boris Champy. I asked Brouin what it felt like to have been part of multiple transitions during his time at Domaine des Lambrays (he has seen the domaine sold twice during his tenure) as well as seeing his time there finally come to an end. Brouin, who is rarely without a smile or a sen ...

2017 Domaine de l'Ermitage "Victor" Costières de Nîmes Rosé (Previously $11)

Costières de Nîmes is at the southernmost part of the Rhône Valley, on the opposite bank from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. One of our best new finds is Château de l'Ermitage, which produces three terrific values with eminent drinkability. The estate's history can be traced back to the 12th century, when the winery produced wine for the pilgrims of St-Jacques de Compostelle who were traveling the Santiago de Compostela. The property is now owned by the Castillon family, and today Michel and his son Jerome manage the vineyards and winemaking. The "Victor" is named ...

2017 Malmont Côtes du Rhône Villages Seguret Rosé (Previously $17)

Wine Spectator: "Juicy and brimming, offering strawberry and blood orange notes laced with a lively, savory streak. This rosé has cut and drive, with good stony edge on the finish. Grenache and Syrah. (JM, Web Only-2018)" K&L Notes: Domaine de Cabasse was a highly regarded producer making wines from the Rhone villages of Sablet, Gigondas and Seguret. The family decided to sell their property in 2012 but there was one lone family member who didn't want to see it go. Scraping together enough money, Nicolas Haeni was able to buy just the Seguret vineyard ...

2017 Château Saint Jacques d'Albas "La Chapelle en Rose" Minervois Rosé (Previously $16)

Jancis Robinson: "Grenache grapes in a pretty, gently bulbous, bottle. Low temperature fermentation nose but very nicely, gently balanced on the palate. Perfect summer aperitif with nice salty grip on the end. Very refreshing and racy. Just the ticket. Fruit but not syrup. (JR)" (06/2018) K&L Notes: Situated to the east of the walled city of Carcassonne and in the shadow of the Montagne Noire (Black Mountains) lies Minervois. The village of Laure-Minervois is home to Château Saint Jacques d'Albas, a 90-hectare hillside estate. Some 26 hectares of the e ...

2017 Wagner-Stempel Rosé Trocken Rheinhessen (Previously $17)

The estate dates back to 1845 and is currently in its 9th generation. In the early '90s Daniel Wagner decided to build on the tradition of classic wine production and restore the previously famed vineyard sites Höllberg and Heerkretz (ripens two week later) to their former glory. Restoring is an understatement. More meticulous and well-groomed vineyards can seldom be found! They are planted 50% to Riesling but there are also significant plantings to Pinot Blanc and Silvaner and 14% to red varietals such as Pinot Noir and St. Laurent. The estate produces ...

2017 Casa Smith "VINO" Columbia Valley Sangiovese Rosé (Previously $14)

90 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The medium gold/salmon colored 2017 ViNO Sangiovese Rosé offers a vibrant, strawberry and cherry-scented bouquet as well as a rounded, supple, nicely textured style. With both racy acidity and a fleshy, textured, salty style on the palate, it's a versatile rosé to drink over the coming 6-12 months." (04/2018) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from Sangiovese, the 2017 Vino Rosé reveals pretty aromas of strawberries and watermelon, followed by a juicy, medium-bodied palate with moderate alcohol and tangy acidity. It's a mo ...
