2015 Yves Cheron "Les Dentelles" Côtes du Rhône (Previously $13)

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I was blown away by the 2015 Côtes du Rhône Yves Cheron les Dentelles. Made from 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah aged all in cement, it’s a big, rich, full-bodied beauty that’s loaded with notions of kirsch, blackberries, toasted spices and white pepper. Deep, rich, concentrated and impeccably balanced, it’s the real deal. (JD)" (12/2016)

2013 Domaine la Colliere "La Fontaine" Rasteau (Previously $30)

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre, from 40- to 70-year-old vines, the 2013 Rasteau La Fontaine is a gorgeous effort that has classic Rasteau richness and depth, yet also shows a seamless, elegant and classy style. Black raspberry, currants, ground herbs and pepper all emerge from this full-bodied, nicely concentrated effort, and while it has a soft, supple feel, it should evolve nicely for 4-5 years. Located in Rasteau, this small, family run estate was create by Georges Perrot, who bottled his first wine ...

2014 John Duval "Plexus" GSM Barossa Valley South Australia (Elsewhere $44)

94 points James Halliday: "A 47/32/21% blend drawn from old vineyards in a number of districts, Krondorf the one constant, fermented with submerged cap (header boards), matured in French hogsheads (10% new). As is appropriate, complex, but largely fruit-driven, with red cherries/berries and plums to the fore, oak and (particularly) tannins taking a back seat." 2017 Cicada by Chante Cigale Vin de France (Previously $11)

Chante Cigale means singing cicada (a type of grasshopper/cricket), and the Cicada red is their early-drinking, everyday Grenache-Carignan blend. The property has been in the family since the 19th century and is currently run by Alexandre Favier, who assumed the reins at the ripe old age of 20. The domaine is planted to 40 hectares of red varietals and 5 hectares of white varietals spread across 45 different parcels throughout the appellation.

2016 Domaine de la Ganse Vacqueyras (Previously $19)

Vinous: "Bright ruby. Aromas of spice-accented blackberry, licorice and dark chocolate on the nose, along with a hint of cracked pepper that adds spicy lift. Pliant cherry and dark berry flavors display a smooth, seamless quality and put on weight with air. Shows good clarity on a warm, broad finish framed by harmonious tannins. (JR)" (11/2018) K&L Notes: Coralie Onde was from a winemaking family but opted to start her own project independent of her family estate, Domaine les Ondines. 2016 Malmont Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret (Previously $25)

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Savory notes of chestnut skin, dried thyme and rosemary accent succulent black plum and cherry in this wine. A blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache, it offers bright acidity and a spicy, peppery tone that differentiates it from its peers. This balanced wine finishes on fine, softly edged tannins. Enjoy now through 2025. (ALI)" (05/2019) 90 points Wine Spectator: "A fresh, pure style, with a pretty beam of raspberry and blackberry coulis flavors racing through, lined with light violet and mineral hints. 2015 Domaine Gourt de Mautens Vaucluse Rouge (Previously $55)

97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The Chambolle-Musigny of the Rhône, the 2015 IGP Vaucluse from Jerome Bressy is a totally sensational blend of 50% Grenache and the balance a mix of Mourvèdre, Carignan, Counoise, Vaccarèse, Cinsault, Syrah, and Terret Noir (we're getting close to all the varieties). Aged in a mix of concrete tanks, foudre, demi-muids, and barrels, bottled unfined and unfiltered, this naked beauty has just about everything you could want from a bottle of wine. 2014 Clos Chanteduc Côtes du Rhône (Previously $16)

Owned by Patricia and Walter Wells, the Clos Chanteduc is situated above the historical part of Vaison la Romaine. Their Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grow from 60-plus-year-old vines. Harvesting of the grapes are done manually with all stalks and stems removed, with a gentle extraction done after sorting. The juice is aged for 12 months on the lees in old wood casks. Patricia Wells refers to the wine in humble language, calling it the perfect “everyday red” and speaking of it in terms of a bistro wine. The lovely hillside vineyard of Clos Chanteduc ove ...

2012 Domaine de la Jaufrette Côtes-du-Rhone (Previously $25)

When first tasting the wines of Domaine de la Jaufrette, the name López de Heredia sprang to mind. That famous Rioja producer is known for its late-release and complex reds that are subtle, old school and long lived. Jaufrette can be seen as the Rhône equivalent. Jaufrette is run by Frédéric Chastan, the third generation winemaker to oversee this project. The winery sits just outside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation but has holdings in Vacqueyras, Gigondas and Côtes-du-Rhône. All the grapes are hand harvested and hand sorted, and the reds are fermente ...

Hints of peach, cantaloupe and strawberries appear on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate picks up citrusy notes that linger on the finish. 2017 Chateau de L'Ou Côtes de Roussillon Rosé (Previously $17)

Jancis Robinson: "Wild-salmon colour. Orange liqueur tinted through nose and palate with a dry, tangy goji-berry flavour, somewhere between sweet and earthy. Touch garrigue and pink-peppercorn spiciness tucked deep inside the core. A bit wild. A wine that would go well with rustic charcuterie and home-smoked fish. (TC)" (10/2018) K&L Notes: Séverine Bourrier came to winemaking through her own passion for the subject, not having the family history associated with so many winemakers. 2015 Domaine Santa Duc "Le Crau Ouest" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Previously $70)

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "My top pick from the outstanding lineup of Santa Duc's 2015 Châteauneufs was the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape La Crau Ouest, of which only 200 cases were produced. This pure Grenache offers sumptuous aromas of violets and roses to go along with cherries and licorice. It's full-bodied, intense, deep and long, with tannins that properly support the wine's complexities rather than overwhelming them. (JC)" (10/2017) 91-93 points Vinous: "Lurid ruby. 2017 Domaine de l'Ermitage "Victor" Costières de Nîmes Rosé (Previously $11)

Costières de Nîmes is at the southernmost part of the Rhône Valley, on the opposite bank from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. One of our best new finds is Château de l'Ermitage, which produces three terrific values with eminent drinkability. The estate's history can be traced back to the 12th century, when the winery produced wine for the pilgrims of St-Jacques de Compostelle who were traveling the Santiago de Compostela. The property is now owned by the Castillon family, and today Michel and his son Jerome manage the vineyards and winemaking. The "Victor" is named ...

2014 Saint Jean du Barroux "l'Argile" Ventoux (Previously $31)

Philippe Gimel is the proprietor of St. Jean du Barroux, one of the best under-the-radar producers we’ve found this year. Philippe didn’t walk into the business with any grand schemes or idealism about making wine. He has used the knowledge he gained working at Château de Beaucastel, Domaine de la Janasse, and many others to plant, farm, and eventually make wine from three beautiful plots below Mont Ventoux. Philippe is a man of patience and precision, and farms organically. In fact, the vineyards are planted with a biodynamic philosophy, and he encourag ...

Wine Spectator: "Juicy and brimming, offering strawberry and blood orange notes laced with a lively, savory streak. This rosé has cut and drive, with good stony edge on the finish. Grenache and Syrah. (JM, Web Only-2018)" K&L Notes: Domaine de Cabasse was a highly regarded producer making wines from the Rhone villages of Sablet, Gigondas and Seguret. Wine Spectator: "Shows the bright, ripe and racy profile of the vintage, with pure raspberry and blackberry fruit streaming through, offering a pretty violet edge and staying light-footed throughout. (JM)" (09/2018) K&L Notes: Malmont is a single-vineyard labor of love. Deeply terraced and steep, with plentiful rocky soil, the Malmont vineyard is no breeze to cultivate—the vineyard's name means "bad mountain."
