2015 Yves Cheron "Les Dentelles" Côtes du Rhône (Previously $13)

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I was blown away by the 2015 Côtes du Rhône Yves Cheron les Dentelles. Made from 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah aged all in cement, it’s a big, rich, full-bodied beauty that’s loaded with notions of kirsch, blackberries, toasted spices and white pepper. Deep, rich, concentrated and impeccably balanced, it’s the real deal. (JD)" (12/2016)

1982 L'Encantada 35 Year Old "Del Cassou #187" Bas-Armagnac (750ml) (Previously $140)

Independent bottler L'Encantada understands what Armagnac lovers want because that's exactly what they are. This group of Armagnac loving friends realized that some of the region's small estates were throwing away legendary eau-de-vie to blends made by the big negociants. They offered those estates a premium to retain the stocks for bottling as single casks at full strength. Many of these estates had neither bottled Armagnac nor had any interest in marketing their precious eau-de-vie. But, our friends at L'Encantada realized that the soul of Armagnac exi ...

Black raspberry, currants, ground herbs and pepper all emerge from this full-bodied, nicely concentrated effort, and while it has a soft, supple feel, it should evolve nicely for 4-5 years. 2015 Chateau de Vaudieu "Amiral G" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Previously $90)

96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "My favorite in the lineup is the 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Amiral G., and like all the cuvées here, it has a voluptuous, sexy, yet elegant style. Black raspberries, framboise, spice-box, and floral notes all give way to a full-bodied, powerful, yet incredibly elegant Châteauneuf that has a weightless texture and a blockbuster finish. The unusual Domaine Le Parre is the first producer in Tenarèze to be uncovered by the crew at L'Encantada. This is a beautiful little estate situated on a plateau, which boasts boulbène soils and was planted to mostly Baco with a small percentage of Ugni Blanc. The domaine stopped cultivating vines in 1995 and was famous for having a giant barrel fashioned from an old train car. While the domaine's eau-de-vie were top notch, the heavier clay soils resulted in eau-de-vie that need extra time to truly become expressive. But after about 20 years, it's clear ...

That said, the 1982 is a great wine, no doubt because of the vintage rather than the winemaking at that time. A brilliant effort, it boasts a dense purple color as well as a sweet, flowery bouquet revealing plenty of creme de cassis, plum, and cherry notes, stunning concentration, a boatload of power, sweet tannins (the sweetest and easiest to taste among the St.-Juliens), and a long finish. Emmanuel Camut Vinaigre Balsamique de Cidre 100ml (Previously $35)

We’ve been preaching the gospel of Camut for as long as we can remember here at K&L. As we often tell customers, there are few genres of wine and spirits from which we can unequivocally declare a "world’s best," but in the case of Calvados there’s Camut and then there’s everything else. At the beginning of the new millennium, it seems Emmanuel Camut was offered a bottle of traditional balsamic vinegar by some Italian friends of his. 93 points John Gilman: "All of the Drouhin Chablis grand cru bottlings these days are raised in two to five year-old casks, allowing for a gentle micro-oxygen exchange, but without any overtly oaky influences on the wines. The 2016 Vaudésir is outstanding, offering up a deep and youthfully complex aromatic constellation of lemon, pear, a touch of paraffin, a very complex base of limestone minerality, apple blossoms and a very, very discreet whisper of vanillin oak in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and nascently complex, w ...

2017 Domaine Tabordet "Les Petites aux Bues" Pouilly-Fumé (Previously $25)

Nestled in the village of Verdigny, Domain Tabordet is run by brothers Yvon and Pascal Tabordet, who took the reins back in 1981. When the two brothers first took over the estate, it consisted of three hectares (7.4 acres) in Sancerre. By 1988, they had added another 4.5 hectares of Sancerre and another 12 hectares (29.7 acres) in neighboring Pouilly-Fumé, just across the Loire River. The soils here have a similar character to those of Sancerre, but one of the defining characteristics of Pouilly-Fumé wines is the smoky, flinty aromas (fumé), which result ...

2016 Domaine Jean-Michel Giboulot Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru "Aux Gravains" (Previously $35)

Jean-Michel is the third Giboulot to head the family estate in Savigny-lès-Beaune, having presided over the 12 hectares in Beaune, Pommard, and Savigny since 1982. Following Jean-Michel's recent conversion to organic farming, the wines have become fresher and rounder, and the increased proportion of destemmed fruit has helped this transition in style. Much as with Giboulot's 2015s, his 2016s are undoubtedly some of the best we've tasted yet from the portfolio, one that we've been working with directly now for a number of years. The Aux Gravains 1er cru ...

2016 Louis Jadot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Combettes" (Previously $130)

90-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is also moderately reduced yet the underlying fruit seems ripe. There is a more restrained palate feel to the generous and more obviously mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that possess both good verve and fine precision, all wrapped in a tension-filled, persistent and well-balanced if notably austere finish. Worth a look. *Outstanding*" (06/2018) 92 points Vinous: "(Jadot had close to a normal yield here, harvesting these early-ripening vines at the beginning; aged in one new, one once-used and one tw ...

Marie and Frederic Chauffray began their career in wine when they took over Fred's parents' wine shop in a suburb outside of Paris.
