2014 Glaetzer "Amon-Ra" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Glaetzer "Amon-Ra" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (96RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Amon-Ra Shiraz has a youthfully mute nose, offering glimpses at the blackberry, blackcurrant and licorice core, plus suggestions of dark chocolate, cigar boxes, fertile earth and baking spices. The full-bodied palate delivers concentrated, muscular blackberry and earth flavors with plenty of freshness and a beautiful backbone of finely grained tannins, finishing with commendable persistence and layers. This is a great contender for wine of the vintage! 96+ (LPB)" (06/2016)

2012 Glaetzer "Amon-Ra" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Glaetzer "Amon-Ra" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (97RP, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Very deep purple-black in color, the 2012 Amon Ra reveals intense notes of blackcurrant cordial, blackberry compote and licorice with nuances of cloves, allspice, chocolate box and salami as well as a whiff of espresso. The 100% Shiraz palate offers a beast of a wine that is densely packed with black fruit and baking spice flavors and is supported with firm, grainy tannins and crisp acid through to a finish with excellent persistence. Those notes unfurl across the palate in slow-moving, velvety waves of flavor, picking up hints of anise, cinnamon and vanilla on the lingering finish. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz displays a heavy overlay of smoky, maple syrup and caramel oak but also rich chocolate, boysenberry and plum fruit. Of the 2001 Noon "Reserve" Shiraz Langhorne Creek South Australia,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2001 Shiraz Reserve is a riveting example of what is so exciting about old vine Shiraz. Produced from a 35-40-year old McLaren Vale vineyard, it possesses amazing aromatics, purity, texture, and richness. This 2001, which tips the scales at a lofty 15.8% alcohol, is intense and full-bodied as well as remarkably elegant for a wine of such mass and intensity. Its impenetrable inky/black/purple color is accompanied by explosive aromatics, and is bursting with deep, rich, well-balanced flavors revealing seamlessly integrated wood, alcohol, acidity, and tannin. Profoundly deep, rich, and intense, it will hit its pea

1982 Penfolds "Grange" Shiraz South Australia
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Penfolds "Grange" Shiraz South Australia (97JS, 94RP, 92WS). James Suckling: " I drank this coveted bottle the other night in Bangkok, just before holding the first edition there of Great Wines of Italy back in December. There was such density and balance to this monumental shiraz with an oily chocolate and dried fruit character. It was full-bodied with broad length and ravishing beauty. Liquorice and aniseed came through on the aftertaste along with chocolate. A vintage of Grange to remember for many years to come! " (06/2016)

1986 Penfolds "Grange" Shiraz South Australia
Bid on this bottle of 1986 Penfolds "Grange" Shiraz South Australia (98RP, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of my favorite wines from Penfolds, the 1986 (a blend of 87% Shiraz and 13% Cabernet Sauvignon) is one of the most powerful Granges produced (14+% alcohol). At age 23, it reminds me of the way it tasted around 9 years of age. Inky/purple to the rim with an extraordinary perfume of sweet licorice, crushed pepper, blackberry liqueur, camphor, and barbecue spices, this sensationally full-bodied, concentrated, layered 1986 is still an infant in terms of its ultimate potential. It is remarkable how this wine has aged, and it’s hard to believe how certain wine geeks will subscribe to the aging ability of the Grange, but don’t believe the same is true for other old vine Shiraz wines from the Barossa and McLaren Vale. It just doesn’t make any sense. The 1986 is one of the greatest Granges for my palate, and it appears to still have 25-30 years of upside. 98+" (07/2009)

2014 Langmeil "Orphan Bank" Shiraz Barrossa Valley South Australia
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Langmeil "Orphan Bank" Shiraz Barrossa Valley South Australia (94JH, 93JS, 93VN, 91RP, 90WE). James Halliday: "A successful blend of a majority of Barossan fruit, together with a good percentage of Eden Valley material, this cuvee hails from vines in excess of 70yo. Massaged by the whims of time across 24 months in French hogsheads, a solid percentage new, this wine exhibits full throttled dried, dark fruit aromas sewn to a toasty veneer of vanilla pod and coconut notes. Tar, bitter chocolate, anise and cardamon, all wait in the wings. A waft of barbecue infers barrel fermentation, yet the overall impression is of latent power, in an inimitable and traditional Barossa mould." (08/2017)

2016 Mollydooker "Velvet Glove" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Mollydooker "Velvet Glove" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The only one of the Mollydooker wines that even hints at needing some bottle age is the 2016 Velvet Glove Shiraz. Hints of hay or alfalfa mark the nose, along with huge raspberry and blueberry fruit. It's full-bodied, rich and tannic on the palate, picking up hints of chocolate and raisin on the long finish. I wouldn't suggest cellaring it too long, in case the dried-fruit notes come too much to the fore. (JC)" (09/2018)
