2004 Blankiet "Paradise Hills Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Blankiet "Paradise Hills Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dense ruby/purple-colored 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Paradise Hills Estate reveals notes of cocoa, coffee, chocolate and creme de cassis. It cuts a bigger swath across the palate than the Merlot, but with no hard edges. Deeply textured and multidimensional with loads of fruit as well as a flawless integration of acidity, alcohol, tannin and wood, this medium to full-bodied, classic Blankiet should continue to drink well for another 15-20 years. This boutique estate situated on the hillsides behind Dominus has employed some of the best wine minds in Napa. The 2004s spent 18 months in 100% new Taransaud barrels, and were bottled without fining or filtration. (RP)" (04/2014)

2004 Bruno Giacosa "Asili" Barbaresco Riserva
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Bruno Giacosa "Asili" Barbaresco Riserva (99VN, 97JS, 96ST, 96WS). Vinous: "The 2004 Barbaresco Riserva Asili is easily one of the greatest wines Bruno Giacosa made during his long and distinguished career. Next to the other wines of the vintage here, the Asili Riserva is defined by its stunning inner sweetness, soaring aromatics and silky tannins. One of the attributes all great wines share is their ability to stimulate all the senses, from the intellectual to the hedonistic. The 2004 Asili Riserva hits all the right spots and then some. This is just about as good as it gets. (AG)" (06/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 95RP, 94WS, 93CG, 93ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Beautiful wine, lush and soft in the style of this warm vintage. It’s immediately enjoyable for the wealth of cherries, blackberries and raspberries, with a decadent edge of melted milk chocolate. Oak adds extra dimensions of smoky vanilla, caramel, butterscotch and gingerbread. *Editors' Choice* " (08/2007)

2004 Giacomo Conterno "Cascina Francia" Barolo
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Giacomo Conterno "Cascina Francia" Barolo (98VN, 97RP, 94JG, (91-94ST), 90WS). Vinous: "The 2004 Barolo Cascina Francia boasts staggering depth and explosive intensity from the very first taste. One of the most brooding, backward 2004s, the Cascina Francia is one of the only wines in this vintage that I am slightly disappointed to have opened, as it is so intensely backward. Hints of sage, tobacco, menthol, rose petal and graphite open up in the glass, recalling just how mesmerizing the 2004 was in cask. At once silky, while at other times virile, the 2004 Cascina Francia is constantly changing in the glass. The multiple shades of nuance and complexity are those of Nebbiolo from a great site as expressed by one of the region's historic families. The price of Monfortino has escalated rapidly over the last few years, but by comparison, the 2004 Cascina Francia is still available in the market and represents a good relative value. 2004 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah (100RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More layered and concentrated, with incredible depth and richness, the 2004 Syrah Lorraine comes from chalk and flint benefits and sees the standard extended barrel aging regime, with close to 42 months spent in oak. According to John, it’s the wine that’s the most ready to go, no matter the age. It hits all of my sweet spots with its brilliant aromatics, decadent texture and blockbuster finish. Showing traces of the marine-like saltiness that’s found in the Reva, it offers up a smorgasbord of aromas and flavors, with black raspberry, creme de cassis, salted beef and liquid smoke comprising the bulk of the bouquet. Full-bodied, seamless and balanced, with fabulous concentration and nothing out of place, it’s an incredible expression of Syrah that could come from nowhere else. Drinking superbly, it too will have at least another decade of prime drinking. (JD)" (04/2014)

2004 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (95RP, 94WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Syrah Reva is classic in style, with its iodine, olive and salty, marine-like character front and center. Coming from the gravelly, sandy clay loam soils on the estate, it shows more textbook Syrah character with air (very northern Rhone-like) and has first rate complexity, gorgeous dark fruit and brilliant overall purity. Showing almost no evolution, with full-bodied richness, fine tannin and a balanced, fresh and lengthy profile, it will continue to drink beautifully for another decade or more. (JD)" (04/2014)

2004 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend (96RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Pandora (80% Grenache and 20% Syrah), is deeper in color and completely opaque. Slightly more voluptuous and rich, with the Syrah giving some heft to the mid-palate, it offers up layers of black raspberry, black currants, cured meats, iodine and crushed rock-like minerality on the nose. This flows to a full-bodied, beautifully textured and seamless wine that has no hard edges, thrilling richness and a blockbuster finish. Gaining a tad more richness with time in the glass, it still has only hints of maturity and has a long life ahead of it. Enjoy bottles anytime over the coming decade (or more). (JD)" (04/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (94WE, 93RP, 93VN, 93W&S, 92JS, 91ST, 91WS). Wine Enthusiast: "An intensely powerful, smooth wine, in a style that has an instant, sexy appeal. But it's not just surface glamour, there is a solid texture, layering the dusty tannins with rich black plums, red berries and vanilla. (RV)" (06/2007)

2004 Vincent Girardin Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Vincent Girardin Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru (93ST, 93WS, 90BH). Wine Spectator: "Shows fine intensity, layering lemon, mineral and spice flavors from the initial attack to the finish. Deep and long, with all the components in harmony, yet needs time to fully realize its potential. The long finish is the best part. Best from 2009 through 2020. (BS)" (03/2007)

2004 Oddero Barolo Vigna Rionda
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Oddero Barolo Vigna Rionda (94RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The estate’s 2004 Barolo Vigna Rionda is beautifully perfumed, understated and refined, with silky layers of fruit that emerge gracefully from its mid-weight frame. The tannins possess gorgeous silkiness, which contributes in big way to the wine’s sensual, captivating personality. This will be a fascinating wine to follow over the coming years and decades. Roses, spices and flowers of all sorts linger on the impeccable finish. (AG)" (12/2010)

2004 Pavie-Decesse, St-Emilion
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Pavie-Decesse, St-Emilion (94RP, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This small estate owned by Chantal and Gerard Perse (9 plus acres planted with 43-year-old vines) is composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. In 2004, yields were a low 28-30 hectoliters per hectare, resulting in 400 cases being produced. The dense ruby/purple-colored 2004 offers smoky creme de cassis, kirsch liqueur, crushed rock, and spring flower aromas. Opulent, flamboyant, rich, dense, and lavishly endowed, it possesses enough fruit and glycerin to nearly conceal its elevated tannin. This wine should be at its finest between 2012-2025.
