Ignore the ugly label. Ignore goofy name. Ignore the meaningless XO moniker. Consider the wonderful source of this special bourbon - WILLETT FAMILY. Consider the proof - 107! Consider the price - $35. Considering that this whisky is nearly 10 years of age that makes it one hell of a deal. It reminds me of a higher proof version of Elijah Craig which is bottled right down the road. A nose big pepper and cinnamon, dark cocoa and fine exotic wood. Hints of orange liqueur, rich toffee and sweet caramel bring this special whiskey back down to earth. It's not the floral feminine style you might find in a Rowan's Creek (which includes some very old whiskey, but older isn't always better you know?) and really shouldn't be compared to that one. But, if you like a bold power style this might be the one for you.

United States

- When people consider domestic wine, they normally think about the state of California. The fine viticultural Region within California, including the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mendocino and Santa Barbara, are capable of growing grapes of world-class quality. But there's plenty of fabulous wine coming from other states, too. Oregon, Washington and New York are also causing eyebrows (and glassware) to be raised around the world.
