"My name is Sophie Guiraudon and I am a winemaker since ZERO generation!," says Sophie proudly. Sophie was working in other peoples' wineries in southern France for years. In 2000, Sophie started her own bio-dynamic, organic winery. She wanted to grow grapes that her son could eat right off of the vines. The Terrassettes is typically a blend of: 72% Carignan, 17% Syrah, 8% Grenache Noir, 3% Mourvèdre.

Think about a wine that satisfies your palate in every aspect? Well think no further! This was one of the first few wines I tasted when I joined K&L and I was so taken by how amazing and memorable it was. So memorable that I kept thinking about drinking it again and again. This lush, spice fest, mouthwatering wine has a harmony of meaty flavors. Deep, dark, approachable yet never boring , herbaceous and delightful. The dominant grape in this wine is Carignan which has a balanced flavor profile without the bitter tannin. This wine pairs well with more hearty food as well as lighter dishes. The Wine maker Sophie is a one woman do it all. She is the wine maker and manages everything herself. If all these incredible elements are not enough, add being Organic and Bio-dynamic to this magical potion in the form of wine!

- When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them.
